Releases The Cobb – Zoi [-102C] By Release Promo Posted on 11th June 2022 4 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Presenting his third label project of the year, The Cobb returns to -102C with a new EP entitled 'Zoi'. 2021 proved to be a breakout year for the Russian artist, as he continued to showcase a blend of organic and progressive house across his home labels of Deepwibe Underground and -102C. Perhaps most impressive was his 'Elements' anthology in conjunction with progressive music star Dmitry Molosh. The four release series went down as one of the year's most ambitious projects and also gave us a look into a different side of Dmitry. Now following on from the success of 2022's 'Above Ground' and 'Yana', The Cobb returns to -102C with a two-track showcase entitled 'Zoi'. A three month hiatus has served The Cobb well as he returns with two fresh organic cuts that have already got the attention of Sol Selectas boss Sabo. 'About It' might be his most emotive creation to date as exotic drums arrangements, whimsical pianos and choir-like vocals unite for a heartfelt blend of colour and texture. Meanwhile, title selection 'Zoi' goes deeper, with a greater emphasis on cadence and groove, allowing those gorgeous drum details and wavy rhythms to carry transcendent overlays and fluttery melodies on wards to a spiritual final. With a remix of progressive star Kamilo Sanclemente also dropping this week, The Cobb has returned in resounding fashion with two cuts that should serve the outdoor party season very well. Highly recommended.
