Releases Rondo Mo – Overflow [Fayer] By ProgressiveAstronaut Posted on 23rd March 2017 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin ‘Overflow’ marks the first official release of Rondo Mo, the pseudonym of South-Londoner Robbie Redway. With his distinctive blend of dark, soulful electronica, this is unmistakably the sound of a promising new artist. The track begins with a deep bass pulse heard far in the distance, before Redway’s voice creates a light for the listener to use to navigate. The sultry vocals and growing instrumentals build on a track that begins in darkness, whilst maintaining a sense of danger with lyrics of going in “way above my head”. The spacious washes and lone piano keys add a level of anticipation before the listener is hit with the beat. ‘Overflow’ offers an eclectic mixture of sounds throughout, juxtaposing a darker subject matter with a groovy bassline and snaps. There are also moments where Redway’s driven production is punctuated with more emotive breakdowns, the airy textures giving space for the vocals to take control, and the track ultimately ending with the appropriate emotional climax. Remixing first it is Gardens of God, a Lithuania producer who has released on labels like Ellum. His take on Overflow is a spacious one, with heavy drums down low, effected vocals up top and a dark sense of atmosphere to the groove. Up next it is Theo Kottis, a fast rising UK producer who has released on Anjunadeep, Moda Black and Sasha's Last Night On Earth. His version is deep and emotive, the heavenly vocals really soar above his sombre, tender beats. His synth work is radiant and exquisite and the whole thing really stands out as another fine bit of work. A third remix then comes from Swedish born star Jonas Rathsman, who over the last few years has really established himself with a great Essential Mix on Radio 1 and many Beatport hits. His unique remix is one that will send shivers down your spine, with icy melodies and slithering synths all making for a chilly atmosphere. The drums are deep and supple and really get under your skin. ► PA Booking Enquiries: management@progressiveastronaut.com ► Subscribe: http://bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautSub... ► Follow Me On Soundcloud: http://bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautSC ► Website: http://bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautWEB ► Follow Me On Facebook: http://bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautFB ► Follow Me On Twitter: http://bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautTW Buy: http://btprt.dj/2nwlfcT Release Date: 17-03-2017 ► Gardens of God ♫ https://soundcloud.com/gardensofgod http://www.gardensofgod.com/ https://www.facebook.com/gardensofgod... https://twitter.com/gardensofgod http://pro.beatport.com/artist/garden... ► Fayer ♫ https://www.facebook.com/fayerrecords http://fayermusic.com/ https://www.beatport.com/label/fayer/...
