Releases Nicolas Rada – Cumulonimbus [Balkan Connection] By Release Promo Posted on 9th September 2017 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release from Balkan Connection welcomes Nicolas Rada back to the label for a brand new EP. It's been the best year on record for the Argentinean artist. After finding a home on Nicholas Van Orton's Balkan Connection South America, Nicolas has delivered fresh music for Dopamine, One of A Kind, Sound Avenue and Soundteller Records. He's also become a mainstay of Balkan Connection's primary imprint where he now makes his 16th appearance with the much anticipated 'Cumulonimbus'. The title track leads the release off and you immediately get a feel for Nicolas' groovy progressive sound. It's something he's honed over time and this year in particular it's really resonated with the progressive underground. Smooth, rolling and full of great rhythmic hooks it's got a superb dance floor sensibility. The mystical top end pushes it into brilliant territory though, swirling atmospheres and clustered motifs trail through the framework for an all out spiritual experience. The companion piece 'Stratocumulus' comes with a similar feel and design profile. Dark, groovy and a touch trippy it sits as lovely complement to 'Cumulonimbus'. Having followed Nicolas's work quite closely I would say these are his most distinctive and modern productions to date. Both outstanding and happy to see Balkan Connection showcase them remix free as well. Top notch EP and highly recommended.
