David Di Sabato - Between The Lines [Soundteller Records]

The latest release from Deersky's Soundteller Records welcomes David Di Sabato to the label. The Italian artist has previously appeared on Progressive House Worldwide and Suffused Music where his melodic sound has flourished. Now making a step up David makes his much anticipated debut on Soundteller alongside remixes from Fer J and Nishan Lee.  Most of David's productions sit in the 125 BPM range with a healthy dose of melody but his latest 'Between The Lines' comes it mid-tempo and quite laid back in comparison. Jangly melodies and a broken beat foundation lie at the core of the track while subtle shifts in atmosphere pull even more emotion at key points in the narrative. A lovely piece of music and also timely given the season, kudos to Soundteller for picking it up. As you would expect the remixes bring the elements closer to the dance floor beginning with Fer J. The Portuguese artist made his debut on Soundteller in February with his 'Moments' EP and has since appeared on

Paul Deep - Banshee [Balkan Connection]

Paul Deep makes his Balkan Connection debut this week with 'Banshee'. The Argentinean artist is fresh off releases on Dopamine Music, Or Two Strangers and Sound Avenue, all of which have found their place in the progressive underground. Now making his first appearance on Balkan Connection Paul presents his latest single alongside remixes from Anton MAKe, Erdi Irmak and Sebastian Franco.  Known for his pure progressive productions, Paul has come up with another gem in 'Banshee'. Deep and pulsating from the outset the piece moves forward with buzzing synths and clattering percs. There's a nice dramatic sense about it, subtle but ever growing and ultimately quite powerful as a result. The main break excels with its modular storyboard, simple but very effective and carrying nicely into a heady finale. First up on the remixes is Anton Make who returns to the label for his eighth appearance. The Russian artist provides a more club oriented version with a strong percussive cadence. Th

Alberto Jossue - Love Letters [Magician On Duty]

The latest release from Magician On Duty welcomes Alberto Jossue back to the label for a brand new single. The Canadian artist last appeared on the US imprint in March of this year with his 'Contact' EP and also owns releases on L'Enfant terrible and Slideways Music. Now making a much anticipated return to Magician On Duty Alberto presents his latest studio creation entitled 'Love Letters' alongside a remix from Hauy. Originally from Lima, Peru, Alberto is quite well known in his home of Toronto, Canada. A regular on the city's DJ circuit, the Canadian has shared the decks with Carl Craig, Guy J, Oliver Huntemann, Danny Howells, Guy Mantzur, Eelke Kleijn and many other top international talents. His latest single features Aleksandar Kojic and Hilary Jean and what a beauty it is. Coming in at around 100 BPM it's a deep, soulful and incredibly charming ten minute journey. Delicate strums combined with spiritual vocals adorn the laid back groove while timely atmospheric shifts and

The latest release on Paul Hazendonk's MNL imprint finds Marc De Koning making his debut with 'Signature'. The Dutch artist has found a home on the Stellar Fountain label family since making his debut in 2015 and has since appeared on affiliate Astrowave. Also a resident at the Recycle Lounge Gallery Club in Amsterdam Marc now makes his much anticipated MNL debut alongside remixes from Jaap Ligthart and Erich Von Kollar. The original mix will be a delight for long time progressive house fans. I can't help but hear some of the pixie days circa 2004 inside this one. There's a touch of James Holden and Luke Chable beaming from those melodies, while it's flow is silky smooth with just the right transitional moments. Warm, fluid and very organic in design it makes for a pleasant listen or a playful dance floor romp. Great stuff from Marc. The remixer selection is really on point with two of the scenes mavens Jaap Ligthart and Erich Von Kollar delivering gorgeous renditions. First

Li-Polymer - Conventu [ICONYC]

John Johnson's ICONYC imprint returns for one it's most anticipated releases of the year from Li-Polymer. There are few artists who have transformed their sound and enjoyed a quicker rise than the Portuguese ptoducer. A release on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music stands out along with several top projects for Tash's Movement Recordings. Now making a much welcome return to ICONYC Li-Polymer presents his latest creation entitled 'Conventu' alongside remixes from Be Morais and Wanderlust. As Li-Polymer has evolved as an artist we've seen his productions leave the traditional progressive house blueprint into something all his own. His latest 'Conventu' is a deep, dubby affair with great aesthetic qualities. The drum work is drool worthy, so organic, with lovely character and space while several astral motifs and killer vocal elements fill in the framework. It reminds me a bit of Brian Cid's work in a way which is of course a great thing but this is on a dreamier atmospheric plane ultim

Chris Cargo - Dusk [Stellar Fountain]

Stellar Fountain returns this week with one of their most anticipated releases of the year from Chris Cargo. For those unfamiliar with the Irish artist he was an integral part of the progressive house movement that happened in the late nineties. Perhaps best known for his productions on Mara’s Choo Choo label, Chris also appeared on Renaissance, Automatic Records and our own Release Records imprint with a remix of Nugen ‘Emotion’. Following an eight year hiatus Chris reappeared in April of this year with a new EP on Deersky's Soundteller Records. It was a delight for both old and new school fans of the genre. Now with an additional release on Lowbit Records in the books it looks like Chris is firmly back in the spotlight with this brand new single on Stellar Fountain.  With its dreamy, atmospheric qualities 'Dusk' certainly fits the Stellar Fountain ethos to a T. It's warm, fluid groove is immaculately carved while tantalizing melodies work some sensory magic over the top.

soulForm - Synesthesia [BTech Noir]

Brent Lawson's BTech Noir imprint returns in a major way this week with a fresh remix package for soulForm's 'Synesthesia'. Originally released in November of 2016, it's progressive techno sensibilities proved irresistible with dreamy melodies, wispy vocals and stunning effects all layered over a tough commanding groove. Now with the 2017 summer season in full swing BTechNoir invites Dave Seaman, Quivver and Kri Samadhi to invent the track for what is the labels most anticipated offering to date.  First up Selador boss Dave Seaman goes deep and mystical with his 'Desert Hearts' rework. Backed by a warm groove, the UK artist uses the vocal to great effect, creating a mesmerizing, meditative loop which adds nicely to the track's rhythmic core. Raspy synth hooks and a gorgeous harmonic wave are perhaps where the magic lies though. A gorgeous contrast with a bevy of emotive moments getting generated here and Dave seems to have his pulse on exactly when to let go, venturing back to t

Huminal - We Dwell in the Past (Slideways Edition) [Slideways Music]

The latest from Tim Penner's Slideways Music finds the label showcasing the latest instalment of its 'Edition' series. Featured here is Huminal's excellent 'We Dwell in the Past' which was originally released on Proton Music in July of 2016. Warm, emotive and incredibly compelling it sits as the Dutch duos most exciting work to date, still holding a firm place in their Beatport top sellers over a year later. Now we see Slideways inviting two incredible artists of their own in Subandrio and Dustin Nantais to re-interpret the piece for 2017.  Kicking the release off and making his Slideways debut is Subandrio. The Sri Lankan artist has been at the forefront of the nu-progressive movement since appearing on Cid Inc's Replug Records in 2015. It paved the way for his rugged sound, and he went on to many great successes as a result, including an appearance on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeats 3 collection later that year. A remix of Oliver Lieb's 'Caldera' (courtesy of Deersky's Soundteller

The latest release on Antrim's Or Two Strangers imprint welcomes Paul Deep to the label for his debut EP. The Argentinean artist has enjoyed a strong 2017. His unique brand of progressive music has already been showcased on Nikko.Z's Dopamine Music and Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint. Now making his much anticipated debut on Or Two Strangers Paul presents his latest five track EP entitled 'Nohono'.  Both Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have been long time supporters of Paul's music, having showcased many of his original productions and remixes over the years. His bootleg productions are quite notable receiving play and attention industry wide with his interpretation of Alex Niggemann's classic 'Materium' leading the way. On his 'Nohono' EP Paul shows his versatility with five stylistically varied cuts beginning with the driving, peak time gem 'Winter Solstice'. There's a touch of old and new blended here with traditional groove mechanics layered with modern motifs. Stellar har

Crocy - Because [Just Movement]

The 45th release on Just Movement welcomes Crocy to the label for his debut single. The Slovenian artist has found on the long standing Bonzai records imprint where he has appeared 50 times over the course of the last five years. Now making his much anticipated debut on Just Movement, Crocy presents his latest single entitled 'Because' alongside remixes from George Yammine and Paul Deep.  Crocy's smooth progressive minded sound is perfect for the Just Movement ethos and 'Because' fits that to a T. As detailed percussion fills in the punchy framework atmospheric motifs begin to swirl above. Distinctive stabs add nicely to its rhythmic flow before vocal pads lift the vibe higher and on into the main break. Serving more as an energy bridge, the track's centrepiece shifts the dreamy narrative back to the chunky groove with an effortless flair, ultimately making for a smooth finale. Both remixes bring something unique as well with George Yammine first up and also making his label d
