The talented Romanian producer BOg has been causing a fuss with his melodic masterpieces on Bedrock, microCastle and Selador. He now lands at the doors of the uber cool Tarnished Tracks, who have been making a very cool little name for themselves with their first 3 releases. Lets get straight to the music, starting with Borders. Immediately we find BOgs hallmark tinkling melodies shining brightly from the off, layered over the infectious groove. Subtlety is the key here as we meander effortlessly from peaks to troughs, all working wondersly as part of this magical musical journey. Complimenting this we find Hacienda. Big pads create tension, before the infamous BOg arp adds texture as the track develops, twisting and punctuating wonderfully, creating yet another monster from this exciting producer. ► Subscribe: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautSubscribe ► Follow Me On Soundcloud: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautSC ► Website: bit.ly/ProgressiveAstronautWEB ► Follow Me On Faceb

The new project ''Riesen'' composed by Christian Venturing (The Ellum Guy) and David Lezzi debut on Be Free Recordings their first release brings us to a dark sound at times progressive, elegant but at the same time so powerful ''Rage'' and ''Hesitancy'' are an explosion of rhythms and sounds that fit with each other and that make this ep something experimental and unique. With discographies tantamount to the very summit of progressive music since the 90's, both Silinder and Tilt are names which truly need no introduction. Their recent collaboration 'Black Hearts' featuring Natasha Cadman is revisited here courtesy of a supplementary extended player. This offering showcases a flood of reworkings from equally talented peers, including Jaap Ligthart, Argt (Acid Rockers & George Thompson) and an alternative mix from Silinder himself. Netherlands native Ligthart has been making waves for some time now thanks to his DJ commitments spanning continents in addition to an ever-growing body of studio work. He delivers a brace of mixes here, the latter 'dub' teasing some of the key original elements to a greater degree while retaining all of it's techy groove and vigour. Duo ARGT follow suit with a stunning remix and dub parcel of their own, while Silinder completes the package with his 'nod to the 90's' rhythmic groover destined for great things in i

For our latest story in sound, Russian-born, classically-trained artist KatrinKa returns to her home label Chapter 24 in collaboration with the British producer, DJ, vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Thomas Gandey. KatrinKa’s emotive, enticing and melodic grooves are a perfect fit for Gandey’s haunting vocals. The Nameless One is a bewitching follow up to 2015’s Beauty, a combination of dark languid rhythms and exotic scales. Meanwhile, How Does It Feel takes things to deeper, more techno-influenced dancefloors. The EP is completed by a set of powerful Editions by Chapter 24 artists Sezer Uysal and Stas Drive, with label newcomer and up-and-coming star Tim Engelhardt also making a big impression. Sezer Uysal (Suara, Manual) applies a cosmic and driving touch to The Nameless One, while emphasising the Eastern musicality of the original. Tim Engelhardt (Poker Flat, Cityfox) shares a dirty, groovy and sparkling vision of How Does It Feel, while Ukrainian Stas Drive (Sud

Fernando Olaya making a return with his latest single 'West Waves'. Fernando delivers a track full of attitude, punchy and driven, with its dark slant, yet tasty melodies, this beautifully layered gem oozes class and destined to do some serious dance floor damage, personifying a producer on top of his game. 'West Waves' is pure club gold. The release features 2 outstanding reworks from: Erich von Kollar and Tommi Oskari. Erich von Kollar who has achieved an amazing level of critical success with his last few outings, over the course of his short career, supplies the first remix of 'West Waves'. As one of Hungary's most talented and sought after music producers Erich has completely overhauled the huge original into a moody, wobbly, orchestral deep progressive mix for the ages. An irresistibly chunky groove is complemented with gorgeous synth accents, shuffling drums and panoramic, widescreen synths for what results in one of Erich's most unique and inspiring studio creations to date
