Releases Hot Tuneik pres OneTwo – O’Girondo [Balkan Connection] By Release Promo Posted on 21st March 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Hot TuneiK returns to Balkan Connection this week presenting a new single alongside fellow countryman OneTwo. The Mexican artist and Hookah Records label boss is making his tenth appearance on the Serbian imprint which follows strong remixes for Particles and Sound Avenue. His latest is entitled ‘O'Girondo’ and comes alongside remixes from Nicolas Rada, Robert R. Hardy and K Nass. That deep, chuggy Hot TuneiK sound has become instantly recognizable and with OneTwo we get a great vocal narrative as well. Aimed squarely at the dance floor it’s percussive cadence and warm, rippling groove are completely infectious. With the evolving vocal it doesn’t need to do a hell of a lot to stay interesting either but the third act pushes the envelope just a bit further with rhythmic rushes and clean lines. Another winner from Hot. Argentinean star Nicolas Rada provides an equally groovy remix going a bit deeper and more atmospheric. Misty motifs meld perfectly with the reprocessed vocal elements for a very engaging eight minute journey. As with most Rada productions the drum work is exceptional; highly detailed and wonderfully fluid, most notably during an uplifting finale. Nicolas has also provided a dub for the less vocally inclined which follows the same path as the main version and could perhaps be used as tool to set up the vocal version as well. Perhaps the most sought after remix on the release comes from Robert R. Hardy. Already featured by Hernan Cattaneo on his famed Resident Radioshow the Hungarian’s smooth lines have captured the imagination of progressive house fans around the world, recalling memories of many a vocal classic from yesterday with a chuggy, rhythmic modern twist. Brilliant remix from Robert. The release concludes with K Nass returning to the label for his seventh appearance. The Egyptian artist and Northern Lights label boss has been a bit quieter to start 2018 so his remix here is certainly a welcome one. Known for his pure, dark take on progressive house K Nass adds some dreamier qualities to ‘O'Girondo’ which work perfectly. The vocal elements have been used sparingly, and also in more indistinct fashion as evidenced by an elegant sonic mulch during the main break. A gorgeous remix from K Nass which rounds out another top notch offering from Balkan Connection. Don’t miss it.
