No StraiN – Underworld [Eat My Hat Music]

Continuing to add exciting new talent to their roster, Ziger's Eat My Hat Music welcomes No Strain to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Brazil and the USA respectively, No Strain is a collaborative project from EZEK and Messier. With a sound that sits in the creative space between progressive and melodic house, the duo has enjoyed a creative swell of projects since making their debut in 2022 via MIR MUSIC. The next two calendar years would see the duo continue to build their partnership and in turn add key releases from Chrom Recordings, Dear Deer White and Polyptych Noir, amongst others. With 2024 getting underway with an EP and remix for Belgian label Tanzgemeinschaft, No Strain now adds Eat My Hat to their resume with 'Underworld', alongside a remix from Mind Conspiracy.

Beginning with the original mix No Strain aims squarely at the dance floor which continues their club-focused partnership. Full of darker monochromes, the cross-continental duo blend punchy kick drums and galloping grooves, with sci-fi vocal samples and icy melodic clusters for a buzzing energy rush leading into the break. Further revealing their creative attitude across the interlude, it's a stereo field of percolating synth lines and haunting atmospheres which marry for a healthy dose of melodic tension, before a wave of drums cues a stripped down drop and hypnotic key-changing finale.

The release concludes with Mind Conspiracy returning to the label for the lone interpretation of 'Underworld'. As one of Eat My Hat's primary artists, Greek artist Mind Conspiracy continues to deliver a cross-genre style, oftentimes finding a creative balance between progressive and melodic house & techno. With the release of 'Rock Solid' and 'Metafora' highlighting another excellent year past, Mind Conspiracy began 2024 back on Eat My Hat with a remix of 'Revolution' by Noise Generation & Javier Román, a release which was closed followed by his first original project of the year 'Twisted Circles'. Now, continuing his tenure on Eat My Hat, Mind Conspiracy returns to the label for a twisted take on 'Underworld'. Opting for a tougher, dubbier and more refined take on the track, Mind Conspiracy conveys an alternative mood to the original, for a less musically dominant, yet equally engaging cosmic version that's perfect for the more astute dancefloors out there.
