Returning from a one month hiatus, Deersky's Soundteller Records welcomes Neeco to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, Nicolas Iannini aka NEECO first came to our attention last year with an EP for Xpressed Records. Diverse in style and well received it would lead to a 2022 release on longstanding Mistique Music where he continued his exploration of progressive sounds. Now adding Soundteller Records to his resume, the Buenos Aires resident debuts on the label with 'Runamok'.

The laid back, thought provoking sounds of 'Road to Rome' leads the EP off. Organic beats and rich atmospheric phrasing provide the backdrop for a variety of hypnotizing structures and intriguing spoken word vocals. A profound seven minute mood setting experience which reaches a tasteful apex as atmosphere grows richer and emotional pads descend over the framework.

The companion piece and also the EP's title selection 'Runamok' aims towards an organic dance floor. Acting as an ideal complement to its predecessor, exotic drums, hazy atmospheres and arpeggiated fragments paint a contemplative narrative early on, while the main break furthers its mysterious intrigue through hopeful overlays, which ultimately opens the framework up for a tastefully restrained conclusion. It rounds out two exceptional tracks from Neeco, who not only makes an excellent Soundteller debut, but also releases two of his best tracks to date here. Highly recommended.
