Beverly Hills – Meridian [Deepwibe Underground]

The latest release from Deepwibe Underground welcomes Beverly Hills to the label for his debut EP. Since first appearing in 2014 the Bulgarian artist's deep, melodic sound has found it's way on to established labels such as A Must Have, Soundteller Records, Toolroom and his own Magic Moment imprint. Now continuing what has been a prolific year, Beverly Hills debuts on Deepwibe Underground with 'Meridian'.

Spread across two tracks it’s the playful melodies of the title track which get the EP underway. It’s house inspired framework creates a dance floor foundation early on while a piano motif and guitar hooks make for a superb musical narrative. Vocal samples highlight the break at opportune moments, adding intrigue to the emotive backdrop before eventually giving way to a reflective final act. A gorgeous tune and perhaps one ideally suited to ending your set with.

The release concludes with ‘Sunny Beach’ which furthers the soulful musicality of the release. Anchored by a warm yet sightly punchier groove, it’s lively hooks and cosmic effects resonate beautifully against a backdrop of cascading keys, vocal gates and orchestral overlays. The nostalgic vibes are tough to resist and it's free flowing, almost live approach is sure to win over most along the way. A stunning creation from Beverly Hills which rounds out an excellent Deepwibe Underground debut for the Bulgarian artist. Highly recommended.
