Plus Thirty – Believe [Stellar Fountain]

Stellar Fountain begins the month of December by welcoming Plus Thirty back to the label for a new EP. January of 2016 saw the Greek duo make their debut on the Hungarian imprint with a remix of 'Selcouth' by N'Pot & Nahue Juarez. Also spending time on John Johnson's ICONYC imprints, the duo then returned to Stellar Fountain for two remixes this year. Now presenting their first original project for the label, Plus Thirty present a two track artist showcase.

Beginning with the momentous energy of the title cut your anticipation level immediately gets set to high. Tough and driving, yet smooth and inviting the storyboard is geared for peak time play. A rippling low end carries a mountainous energy while rough stabs and delicate tones add just the right contrast of texture and colour. Although spacious, the main break keeps the electricity flowing with crunchy rhythms, devilish arps and exotic drums uniting for a for a massive crescendo.

Rounding out the release are the driving vibes of ‘Acoustic Energy’. Perhaps even more peak time it’s got a full, crunchy and almost psychedelic influenced low end. Vocal fragments play a role in the narrative, adding both billowing growls and ethereal phrases, before ushering in a playful arp to cap off this exhilarating gem. Smashing stuff from Plus Thirty who once again deliver some of their best ever work for Stellar Fountain. Don’t miss it.
