Creative Machine – Infinity [Strangers Beats]

Or Two Strangers affiliate Strangers Beats returns for their second release, welcoming Creative Machine for a new single. Hailing from Bogota, the Colombian artist is also known for his Castiblanco alias where he has found a home on Great Stuff Recordings, Monique Music and Natura Viva. As Creative Machine he explores the more melodic shades of house, having contributed to Clubsonica's MMW 2019 Sampler along with a remix for Massive Harmony just two weeks ago. Now debuting on Strangers Beats, Creative Machine presents 'Infinity' alongside a remix from Jonnas B.

The original mix leads the release off and quite possibly sits as Creative Machine’s most accomplished work to date. From its smooth, rolling groove and melancholic meanderings comes charged rhythms and big, bubbly arps. Haunting and hypnotic in equal measure, the chord changes are a touch esoteric, making for a unique vibe throughout. The magic moment is definitely the drop, the full power of the groove becomes quickly realized here, spiking energy for a driving finale moving forward.

The lone interpretation of 'Infinity' is provided by Jonnas B who is fresh off releases on Balkan Connection and Deepersense. A staple of Colombia’s progressive underground for seven years the Medellin based artist has earned play and support from the world’s biggest DJs, most notably Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now making his Strangers Beats debut, Jonnas rounds out the release with a stunning take on ‘Infinity’. The tempo shifts down considerably for a deeper, more emotive affair that complements the original version perfectly. The arpy nature of it's predecessor is well maintained but in much more of a meditative context. Most notably however is it's emotive prowess, through timely chord changes and redolent synths, the break is perhaps what resonates most, perfectly setting up a glowing finale. A gorgeous remix from Jonnas which caps off an excellent second offering for Strangers Beats. Highly recommended.
