Hailing from Russia, Stas Zvyagintsev aka Leaman first emerged in 2017 with a release via India's Zephyr Music. The Moscow resident's progressive sound was quickly recognized, leading to releases via Intricate Records, Soundteller Records and Skytop across the next three years. Now, following a two-year hiatus, Leaman makes his Stellar Fountain debut with 'Adishi', alongside remixes from RossAlto and Tojogo. The title track 'Adishi' lands with a timeless almost nostalgic progressive mood. Groovy basslines and skippy percussion provide the backbone for bouncy chord stabs and buzzing effects. Void of any primary melodic theme, this is a track which excels on the strength of it's rhythm and groove, with just a touch of additional melody and atmosphere highlighting the break, before ultimately returning to it's free flowing, set-building nature. Companion piece 'Esroh' follows suit with with a similar groovy vibe but with an even greater lean into hypnotic territory. Buzzy synth lines and gated stabs make up the primary themes, perfectly setting up an emotive, key-changing break and heads down finale. Label debutant RossAlto provides the first interpretation of 'Adishi' following strong projects for Dialtone and Nordic Voyage. The Greek artist provides a smooth progressive rendition which follows the sleek mood of the original with some additional atmospheric touches, and most notably a cosmically correct primary theme which perfectly accentuates the energetic yet meditative mood of the track. The release concludes with Tojogo returning to the label for the second and final interpretation of 'Adishi'. The UK artist leans a little closer to organic territory with a nicely crafted set of exotic drums, along with a soulful lead theme and timely piano elements which unite for some gorgeous bucolic imagery.
