Corren Cavini makes his debut on Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Music with ‘Out There’. The Dutch imprint has long supported its country’s rising talent. Looking back over the label’s eleven year history it has nurtured some of the industry’s finest artists in Applescal, Patrice Baumel and Nuno Dos Santos. Now with 2018’s summer season in full swing, the label introduces the hugely promising Dutch talent Corren Cavini with his debut single alongside remixes from Kohra and Huminal.

Corren’s expansive musical range is evident throughout ‘Out There’. Although a progressive minded creation there’s a techier feel emanating from this one as well with a tight rhythmic core and haunting atmospherics. Energetic and tasteful, the first act builds subtly as tranquil arps lead nicely into the main break. Unabashedly epic, it’s cinematic feel perfectly sets up a processed vocal which sits as the tracks emotional highlight. It’s brief, unique and quite lovely. It may not be for everyone though and there is a an instrumental version included for the less vocally inclined.

The first interpretation of ‘Out There’ is provided by Kohra who is making his Manual Music debut. The Indian artist and Qilla Records label boss is one of his country's premiere electronic talents. With a career spanning over a decade, Kohra has showcased his music on Sol Selectas, Parquet Recordings and Traum. His Manual Music debut is perhaps long overdue and does not disappoint. A deeper, whimsical take complements the original perfectly and it’s main themes sit nicely between traditional and modern. Ultaintely it’s the sleek, seamless storyboard which makes this such a smooth and pleasurable journey, subtly evolving and with such timely shifts in energy and flow. Great remix from Kohra.

The release concludes with Huminal providing the second and final remix of ‘Out There’. Also making their label debut the Dutch duos previous releases on Einmusika and ICONYC have solidified them as a premiere act in the progressive house underground. Known for their versatility, Huminal are equally adept at crafting dance floor minded melodic techno as they are esoteric electronica. For their ‘Out There’ interpretation they opt for the former, upping the tempo and unleashing a transcendent blend of melody and colour. For fans of the European progressive sound this pretty much nails it bang on. A top remix which rounds out a stellar debut for Corren Cavini on Manual Music. Definitely an artist you’re going to be hearing a lot more about in the future. Highly Recommended.
