The latest release from SoulArt Recordings finds the label showcasing a split EP from Goyes and Dave C. Otherwise known as Csaba Varga and David Varga, the Hungarian brothers have a long history in progressive music. Amidst much praise, their first collaborative remix was released on SoulArt in June of this year with an excellent rendition of East Cafe's 'Drops In A Downpour'. Tripp Baronner's Yang imprint returns this week showcasing a new interpretation of 'Spirals' by Rick Pier O'Neil and Desaturate. Originally released courtesy of Proton's Particles imprint in September of 2015 it brought out the best in both artists, making for memorable, heavyweight collaboration. After a slow beginning to 2017 Yang has enjoyed a strong run of late with new music from Gai Barone, Janno Kekkonen, Cream and more. Now we see East Cafe returning to the label for his fourth appearance following a remix of Sapiens & Springa in May of this year. With a discography that now stretches ten plus years East Cafe has more than etched his place in progressive house history. The latest release from Superordinate Music finds Pranay Ryan making his label debut. The Indian artist came on the scene in early in 2016 with releases on 3xA Music and Clinique Recordings. Now fresh of a remix for Julian Rodriguez's Massive Harmony Records Pranay makes his much anticipated Superordinate debut with 'Z40'. Well known for a blend of progressive and trance, Pranay's hybrid style certainly shines through on 'Mushu On Acid'. Long time Nick Warren favourites Abity return to Stellar Fountain this week with a brand new EP. We last heard from the Argentinean duo with a stunning two track offering for Deersky's Soundteller Records. Released in July, it was perhaps one of the summers most inspired EPs with distinctive, cosmic design and out of this work production details. Needless to say their return to Stellar Fountain is hugely anticipated and it includes three brand new productions. Beginning with 'Cube' we're immediately treated to some interesting design and programming. Crisp, detailed and somewhat unconventional percussion stands out along with granular dust which loops in and out of the framework. An alien-like arp eventually enters the picture and flows through some inspired modulation, ultimately carrying the track into the break. The centrepiece is a tension filled masterpiece with frayed rolls setting the foundation, increasing in intensity ever so slightly as the arp keeps the rhythmic feel of

Deersky's Soundteller Records continues on a strong run of releases with Holland making his label debut this week. The Polish imprint has continued to deliver top shelf progressive house as the summer has unfolded and now welcomes a burgeoning new talent to the label in Holland. The Bosnian artist began his career in 2012 and has most notably appeared on Suffused Music's subdivision Cloudy Moon Records. Stepping up to Soundteller is a massive moment and he's delivered with two excellent cuts. Beginning with the title track 'Mazel Tov', Holland explores tough beats and dark motifs for a very trippy and monumentally engaging storyboard. It's got to be one of Soundteller's darkest signings yet and I applaud them for that. A lot of labels tend to get stuck in a rut of trying to deliver the same feeling or emotion over and over again so it's great to see a range of moods over the course of releases like Soundteller has.
