Madloch – Prologue [MNL] Madloch makes his debut on Manual Music affiliate MNL this week with 'Prologue'. We last heard from the Belgian artist and Sound Avenue boss in February with a remix of Daraspa's 'Beneath The Waves'. His much loved 'Fiction' production then received the remix treatment from Martin Roth and Simos Tagias, resulting in an extended stay in Beatport's Progressive House chart. New music from Madloch has been much sought after and finally two fresh productions see the light of day courtesy of Paul Hazendonk's MNL imprint. For those that follow Madloch's music closely you've likely noticed a metamorphosis in sound over the last year. Something special has been coming out of his studio and the lead track here 'Prologue' is further evidence of that. Deep and pulsating from the outset you immediately get a feel for the great design quality here. From trailing effects to timely drum fills and a meditative tonal theme there's a lot to like. The progression is what really gets you though. Read More

Now making his much anticipated return to Balkan Connection MiraculuM presents his latest studio creation entitled 'The Beauty of Existence' alongside remixes from Michael A and Fer J. Out just last week was the aforementioned 'Wormhole' and again it showcased a blend of very unique sound design and quirky melodies. No doubt one of MiraculuM's all time best but he's managed to come up with something of equal brilliance on 'The Beauty of Existence'. It's dreamy, melodic, a touch weird and very interesting as a result. A shuffly groove gives it some immediate dance floor appeal, perhaps more than most MiraculuM tracks actually. The luminous glow emanating from the melodies is wonderfully offset with buzzing synt Read More

Spiralling arps add a nice hypnotic quality while the chord changes are destined to raise a few goosebumps along the way. The break comes quite early at around the two minute mark setting the stage for a strong drop and distinctive vocal stab which carries through a strong third act finale. The Hungarian artist and Stellar Fountain label boss is making his fifth appearance on the Polish imprint which follows his 'Undelivered' single from September of last year. A remix for K Nass' Northern Lights Music and a single for Spring Tube has made for a strong start to 2017 which now sets the stage for MiraculuM's most anticipated single to date 'Wormhole'. It's always a treat for me when I see a new MiraculuM single simply because I know it's going to something creative with very cool design qualities. 'Wormhole' begins unassumingly enough with a wobbly groove and firing percussion. Intensity starts to rise with spacey electronics and acid stabs before a short drop initiates a more distinctive lead theme. By the four and a half minute mark you feel like you've been transported into an astral matrix of sorts with delightful modulation building tension and carrying into the main break Read More

Sonderzug – From Nothing (Soulkraft) The latest release on Soulkraft Music finds label boss Sonderzug back in the spotlight with a brand new EP. We last heard from the Austrian artist with the 'Lanoria' single, which was released in January of this year. Sonderzug has become a staple in Beatport's progressive house charts since his debut in 2015, with his last 4 EP releases climbing well inside the Progressive House top ten. Now following a five month break the Austrian artist presents his latest two track offering entitled 'From Nothing'. The title track shines from the outset with crisp beats, deliberate drums and a wavering atmospheric theme. Phasing harmonics fade into the mix along with an intriguing vocal sample and shimmering melodies. It's a magical combination but it lasts for just a moment as the drop strips things back for a powerful first act. As the breakdown commences the waves of bliss return initiating a second and quite strong vocal narrative. Smooth chords bring a rushy energy out of the break b Read More

Now embarking on one of the most anticipated projects of his career Pete presents his debut single for ICONYC alongside remixes Praveen Achary and Lucas Rossi. Long noted for treading the techno inspired side of progressive house Pete once again shows his versatility on 'Java' with a more melodic and emotionally driven piece. Energetic from the outset, it's rolling groove flows through chord changes while intricate effects fire and delicate hypnotics add meditative appeal. Timeless tones and a buzzing tension set the stage for the main melody, fading into prominence and ultimately leading to a goosebump worthy break. The percussion comes in waves as the third act begins with the main theme rising higher as timely drum fills bring electric moments. A massive tune fr Read More
