Alec Araujo & Goraieb – Oli in Two Destinations [Just Movement]

The latest release on Just Movement welcomes Alec Araujo and Goraieb to the label for their debut single. The Brazilian duo have been frequent studio partners since first appearing in 2007, recording originals and remixes for Clinique Recordings, Hydrogen, Plattenbank and Suffused Music. Now making their first appearance on Just Movement, Alec and Goraieb present their latest single 'Oli in Two Destinations' alongside remixes from Pole Folder, Matias Chilano and Stage Van H.

The pure progressive grooves of the original mix lead the release off in excellent fashion. Warm, driving and delightfully melodic, it's not difficult to see why this duo has had success over the years. Delicate harmonics push the emotional envelope into the main break before a powerful rush of white noise catapults the the piece into an epic finale.

The first interpretation is provided by Pole Folder who is making his second appearance on the label. The Belgium artist has a storied career dating back to 2004, highlighted by releases on Bedrock, Sudbeat and Global Underground. Known for his emotive, storytelling style he continues to deliver productions which stand the test of time. Here he reworks 'Oli in Two Destinations' into a sleek, emotive slice of progressive house. A glowing atmospheric storyboard makes for a gorgeous beginning before transitioning into more complex harmonics and spaced out motifs. Although sparsely placed, bulbous bass swells add mightliy to it's widescreen appeal, while a moderately tense break seals it's brilliance.

Next up Matias Chilano returns to the label for his fifth appearance. The Argentinean artist last appeared on the Dutch imprint with his well received 'Sweeping' EP. Now following releases on Dopamine Music, Movement Recordings and Particles, Matias returns with an amazing remix of 'Oli in Two Destinations'. On a bed of rippling bass comes wispy motifs and dreamy vocals. Wonderfully airy, the melodic hooks quickly grab a hold of you, leading to a one minute break which melts down to a gentle purr, before the pulsating groove drops for a magic moment.

The release concludes with label artist Stage Van H supplying the final interpretation. The Dutch producer is synonymous with Just Movement where he now makes his thirtieth appearance. Known for his timeless take on progressive music Stage once again delivers a smooth and evocative remix. The main melodic themes translate well over a heavier yet incredibly energetic low end. Clocking in at nearly two minutes the tracks centrepiece is a swirling blend of melody and atmosphere, taking the mood higher before dropping out as the commanding groove charges forward to a great finish. Another gorgeous remix from Stage which rounds out one of Just Movement's most sought after releases of the year.
