Releases Feri – Eptameride / Serenity [Stellar Fountain] By Release Promo Posted on 14th June 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Stellar Fountain returns with a hugely anticipated EP from Feri this week. The Turkish born, Switzerland based producer has become a primary artist on the Hungarian imprint. Since making his debut in 2012, Feri has gone on to record nine original projects and three remixes for Stellar Fountain. It’s been almost a year since the last one and the stars have now aligned for a new EP alongside remixes from Tuco and Audiostorm. Although classified as a progressive house artist Feri’s productions definitely step outside the genre’s traditional confines. The lead track ‘Eptameride’ does exactly that with a modern melodic vibe that easily crosses over into techno territory. There’s a variety of subtle, mediative motifs which get sparsely splashed with a distinctive stab before some twisted modulation during the break sets up a great drop. The companion piece ‘Serenity’ is even more techno inspired with it’s rippling beats deliberate cadence. There are an abundance of astral qualities here and the character on some of the most distinctive sounds is remarkably fresh. Not miles away from something Tale Of Us might play when their in a darker mood. There are two remixes of the lead track ‘Eptameride’ with the first coming from Tuco. The Argentinean artist is quite new to the scene but has already appeared on the label with ‘Contrast’, a track he co-wrote with fellow countryman Nicolas Navarro. His first remix has turned out amazingly well, utilizing the main themes in a slightly more progressive context. The break is probably the most captivating part of the track. Filled with indistinct vocals and radio transmissions, it flows through a murky, heady storyboard before getting lifted for a gentle rush of beats and atmosphere. The second and final remix is provided by AudioStorm who is fresh off a great EP for Stripped Digital. The Montenegrin artist has also appeared on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and remains one of his country’s top progressive house exports. Always a creative remixer, Audiostorm takes ‘Eptameride’ into decidedly trippy territory. The main themes resonate well over a stripped back yet sparsely funked up groove while the main break delivers all the tension you could possibly want. A great remix from AudioStorm which rounds out an exceptional release from Stellar Fountain. Great to hear some fresh sounds from Feri again.
