Speaking Minds returns to Alex Niggeman’s evergreen AEON with his first EP in over a year… And he’s making up for lost time. Following his epic ‘Space Teleportation’ on AEON’s ‘Lost Tapes Vol 2’ these are high grade immersion sessions tailored perfectly for the darker, colder nights.

Teaming up with newcomer Italian talent Amarcord for both tracks, the entire EP is a vacation from the senses. We kick off with ‘Odissea’, a track that more than lives up to its name. A total odyssey enshrouded with mystic melodic clouds; it’s one of those tracks that diverts you to places unknown without realising before bringing you back into reality with a blissful bump. Effortlessly dramatic but subtle when it needs to be, this is Speaking Minds at his dreamiest and daring.

‘Hit Me’ is also fittingly titled; a palpitating heartbeat drum arrangement takes the lead before the deft melodic layers develop slowly and cosmically but persistently, driving into the dancefloor with focused momentum. For added drive head for Bawrut’s remix where the elements are broken down and rebuilt over an electroid swing, pristine percussion and breakdown that will have your dancefloor momentarily skating on thin air.
