Milam makes his debut on Sabo’s Sol Selectas with an organic house release also including a remix by Akira Arasawa.

Al Gaib includes two original tracks, both of which combine eloquent melodies and animated percussion. Milam is a Hong Kong based artist, and he makes use of Middle Eastern chords to create emotive tracks that have cinematic suspense.

Sol Selectas is an organic house institution which has released music by some of the genre’s most respected producers, and Milam is the latest artist to join the ranks of the record label.

Talking about this release, Milam stated, "I wanted to make very deep and emotional tracks contrary to what is popular these days."

A remix from Japanese artist Akira Arasawa also joins the two original tracks. He transforms the opening track into an indie dance version that focuses on synths.

“Mt Fuji Is a Pyramid” opens the release with its squelching acid bass forming a foundation for gliding pads and synthesised vocals. At the same time, juddering percussion adds to the vibe of its psychedelic atmosphere.

Akira Arasawa’s remix of “Mt Fuji Is a Pyramid” adds a throbbing bass synth, plus some Asian strings that bolster the spellbinding synth parts.

The title track, “Al Gaib,” closes the release with epic pads that weave between the swirling drums of this percussive organic house composition.
