Releases Yashar – Moon Shard [Specific Music] By Release Promo Posted on 21st June 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Yegor Tsarkov’s Specific Music continues on a strong summer streak with a new EP from Yashar. Hailing from Tehran, the Iranian artist has a short discography highlighted with a release on Smart Phenomena. Now starting to find his place in the progressive underground Yashar makes his Specific Music debut with ‘Moon Shard’. The title track leads the release off with a deep, progressive vibe which sets the tone for the EP. At the foundation sits a spacious groove; immaculately carved and with lovely character it adds a buoyant bounce immediately. Subtle melodic themes then begin to drift through the framework but the star of the track is undoubtedly the harmonics. Weaving an unpredictable musical spell it’s a line which carries the piece to a spiritual conclusion. The second and finale selection ‘Fountain’ comes in darker and more ominous sounding. A devilish low end anchors the piece while a variety of percussive clusters form around the groove. Growing with each loop, mystical themes slowly converge, creating a heady yet hopeful atmosphere. The main break shifts energy back to the dance floor, stripping away the atmosphere in favour of new rhythmic structures, before a cosmic finale completes the journey. Two excellent tracks from Yashar who you’ll no doubt be hearing a lot more about in the future. Another great signing for Yegor Tsarkov and Specific Music.
