NOIYSE PROJECT – Kandala [AMITABHA]

NOIYSE PROJECT debuts on Dynacom and Bodai's AMITABHA imprint with 'Kandala'. The Sri Lankan duo have been coming up through their country's progressive music scene since making their debut just over a year ago. Now owning releases on Soundteller Records and Proton's Particles, the duo land on AMITABHA with a new single alongside remixes from Partenaire and Mauro Augugliaro.

Noted for their pure take on the genre, 'Kandala' continues that trend with a lovely timeless quality. Groovy and musical in equal measure it's thick slabs of bass and fiery percussion power forward while a myriad of dreamy motifs slowly surround the framework. A touch melancholic, it's the main break which proves most heartfelt, melding cascading tones and fuzzed out electronics which are sure to capture the imagination of listeners and dance floor around the world.

First up on the remixes is Partenaire who provides a deeper take which complements the original really well. The tempo shifts down and the groove opens up for a lazy, laid back journey that makes great use of the main themes. Dreamy in design and emotive in delivery, it takes the melancholic slant off just a touch, resulting in a bevy of goosebump worthy moments. Add to that a broken beat section at the heart of centrepiece to shift cadence for an abundantly groovy finale.

Rounding out the release is another on form artist in Mauro Augugliaro. The Argentinean producer is fresh off releases for Antrim's Or Two Strangers and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music. Now debuting on AMITABHA, Mauro provides a stunning take on 'Kandala' to round the release out on a strong note. Conveying moments of deep yet profound emotion, it’s rolling groove, rhythmic drive and airy melodic concepts quickly capture your imagination. It’s a narrative which continues to evolve during an impassioned yet moderately tense break, perfectly transferring energy into a transcendent peak. A big remix from Mauro and our favourite on the package. It caps off a very well rounded offering for AMITABHA, who continue to curate some of best releases under the deep and progressive house umbrella. Highly recommended.
