Da Luka – Into the Stars [Dopamine White]

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Da Luka to the label for his debut single. The Albanian artist has grown into his country's premiere progressive house talent, backed by the support of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and Cid Inc, while releases on Balkan Connection, Dopamine Music and Soundteller Records highlight his discography. Now making his much anticipated Dopamine White debut Da Luka presents his new single 'Into The Stars' alongside remixes from Eric Lune and Kenan Savrun.

Beginning with the Original Mix, Da Luka moves into deep, progressive territory with a warm spacious groove, smooth rhythms and clusters of tantalizing effects. Alluring and mysterious, it's dramatic flair rises with layers of percussion and spacey sweeps leading to a section of emotive chord changes. Cosmic motifs continue to saturate your senses, perfectly setting up an interlude of astral meadorings before smoothly segueing into a groovy finale.

The first interpretation of 'Into The Stars' is provided by Eric Lune who makes his label debut. Having appeared on parent label Dopamine Music in January of last year the Aussie artist also calls Juicebox Music, Plattenbank, Sound Avenue and Timeless Moment home. Now following two well received collaborations with Juan Sapia, Eric makes his Dopamine White debut with a gorgeous rendition of 'Into The Stars'. Setting the piece in motion is a bed of tough beats and mountainous bass tones. Airy vocal fragments and smooth chord changes elevate mood as layers of percussion and colourful melodies flow through the framework. Poignant tones continue to bend the narrative across the main break, adding waves of emotion, before a tasteful crescendo cues a euphoric conclusion.

The release concludes with Kenan Savrun providing the second and final interpretation of 'Into The Stars'. Hailing from Ankara, the Turkish artist has a long history as a DJ dating back to 2003, having shared the booth with Alex Niggemann, Eli and Fur, Andy Bros, Victor Ruiz and Oliver Huntemann. Upon releasing his first productions in September of 2018, Kenan has since gone on to showcase his music on 3rd Avenue, Droid9, Eat My Hat and Movement Recordings. Now making his much-anticipated Dopamine White debut, Kenan provides a powerful rendition of 'Into The Stars'' to round the release out on a strong note. Anchored by a driving groove, the Turkish artist's rhythmic drum work and fluid electronics build a strong cadence. Shimmering arps add nicely to it's hypnotic storyboard, while swirling effects and luminous tones perfectly segue into the main break. Spanning over a minute in length, the interlude is tastefully tense, backed by a solemn air and laced with crisp designs and powerful bass swells, before effortlessly shifting energy into a pulsating finale. Another inspired remix from Kenan Savrun, which caps off an excellent offering from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White. Don't miss it.
