We last heard from the duo in February of this year with the 'Licht' EP. The three track showcase of progressive club sounds earned support from some of the genre's top tastemakers while finding a place in Beatport's sales charts as well. Now furthering their creative synergy Choopie and Tom unite once again for 'Aqua'. A pleasant surprise to kick off the EP is a collaboration from Choopie and Golan Zocher. The occasional studio partners always seem to nail it when they work together, most recently for Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint. Here the stars align on 'Hola' which comes in nicely dialled for peak time play. It's fluid energy is infectious, powered by liquid lines and a tension filled break which perfectly sets up an epic finale. Meanwhile the title track 'Aqua' finds Choopie and Tom continuing the energetic vibes with a deep, roller that's got an amazing atmospheric presence. Immaculate production coupled with catchy rhythms and nostalgic melodies make this a memorable journey, but it's the break which really seals it's brilliance. Masterfully crafted for tension and spine tingling moments, it builds to an effervescent sizzle and suitably poignant conclusion. Rounding out the release is 'Sound of TLV' which slows the tempo slightly but still packs enormous dance floor punch with kaleidoscopic arps and buzzing effects which dominate a dramatic break, before further arp action makes for a mesmerizing finish. Solid as ever from two of Israel's finest, capping off another massive release for Agnosia Black. Highly recommended.
