The latest release on Strange Town Recordings finds the label showcasing new interpretations of 'Better Tomorrow' by David Granha and Flowers and Sea Creatures. Originally released in March of this year it pitted the Canadian collective and Spanish artist in a unique collaboration. The results were excellent with a vocal led, emotive number alongside remixes from Tone Depth and Jaap Ligthart. Now we see the label inviting Praveen Achary, Futur-E and Dustin Nantais to reinterpret the track for the summer season. I've noted this before but I'll say it again, Praveen Achary chooses his projects wisely. We last heard from the Indian artist with a remix of Pete McCarthey's 'Java' courtesy of John Johnson's ICONYC imprint. Hailing from Rosario, Ivan last appeared on the Argentinean imprint with a remix of Rogier's 'Force' which was released in December of 2016. Although only making his debut just over a year ago Ivan has already developed a distinct progressive sound. Superordinate Music returns this week with a massive single from Nicolas Ruiz. Following a release on Luis Bondio's Classound Recordings to begin the year, the Argentinean artist now makes his Superordinate debut alongside remixes from Michael A, Robert R. Hardy and Nick Varon. A controlled release schedule, Beatport chart success and support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren has made Nicolas one of the brightest young talents in progressive house. His latest entitled 'Glass Shatters' features vocals which is not something we usually hear from him. As usual the drum work is on point and the vocal phrases are incredibly hypnotic. Sebastian Busto returns to Balkan Connection this week for a brand new single entitled 'Roots'. The Argentinean artist last appeared on the Serbian imprint with his 'Anesthesia' EP from November of 2016 and has 2017 releases on Sound Avenue and Just Movement. Now with the summer season in full swing Sebastian presents his latest single alongside remixes from Emi Galvan, Analog Jungs and Martin Gardoqui & Franco Tejedor. Sebastian has become loved for his dreamy brand of progressive house. Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have already chimed in with support on many of the Argentine's past releases and 'Roots' looks set for a similar fate. Backed by a deliberate, driving groove the track makes its presence felt with a dark tonal theme and fresh electronics. One Of A Kind makes a quick turnaround with a new single from Ri Za this week. With label boss Jelly For The Babies releasing his 'Orionis' single just last week the imprint now carries that momentum into a wicked release from Slovakian artist Ri Za alongside remixes from Matias Chilano and Marten Sundberg.  There are a long line of underrated artists in the electronic underground and sitting at the top is Ri Za. He's someone that always brings unique and slightly left of centre ideas which are really refreshing. 'Sitting On A Triangle' does just that with its driving, funky and moderately warped groove. Mysterious vocals, clap delays and quirky hooks make for an eventful first act. An expertly crafted second act is striking, with tonal tension building anticipation before getting washed away in favour of the funky low end. The latest release on Genesis Music finds label boss Michael A back in the spotlight with a brand new EP. Following on from releases on Sudbeat and Movement, the Belarus based artist returns to his home imprint with the two track offering 'These Heights'.  The title track kicks the EP off with a summery progressive mood, once again showing Michael's diversity. His signature kicks, shuffled percussion and ethereal melodies are definite highlights with an airy atmospheric intro paving the way for what's to come. Two interwoven lines work absolute magic together, creating a gentle but highly effective vortex of hooks, subtle but oh so good. The companion piece 'Curiosity' follows a dreamy storyboard as well with waves of atmosphere getting layered over a sturdy groove. The break stands out with acid-like rhythms building to a boil as phasing vocals and clustered claps reintroduce the momentous groove. Hailing from Croatia, Andrej Bozic aka Andrologic has enjoyed a steady rise since making his debut in 2014. Releases on Capital Heaven and his own Andix Records have showcased his melodic take on progressive music to the underground. Now embarking on the biggest release of his career Andrologic makes his debut on Mistique Music with 'Another World' alongside a remix from Petar Dundov.  Andrologic's sound has always been tailor made for club play and 'Another World' is no different. Based around a plucky lead theme, the spacious, swing heavy groove powers forward as dark stabs and tough claps bring an electric vibe. John Johnson's ICONYC imprint returns this week with a brand new single from Shane Robinson. Now considered a veteran of the progressive house scene, the Irish producer has a long line of impressive discography credits, most notably for Silk Music, where he has been a primary contributor since 2011. Now making his much anticipated debut on ICONYC Shane presents his latest single entitled 'Subconscious' alongside remixes from Steve McGrath and 6884 aka Bicycle Corporation. The original mix leads the release off with a deep, charming vibe. Very atmospheric with lovely tones and subtle effects layered over the study groove. A distinctive vocal sample adds a unique element while the breaky, organic percussion continues to carve out a great cadence. Like much of Shane's tracks this one is not about big moments but rather smooth storyboarding and sleek design. A joy to listen and no doubt perfect for a deep dance floor. Based in Helsinki, Finland but hailing from Budapest Hungary, Ricardo is fresh off a remix for subdivision Astrowave and releases on Bonzai Records. Now making his much anticipated Stellar Fountain debut Ricardo presents his two latest studio creations 'Neukliana' and 'Azure' alongside remixes from Kay-D and Billy Alex. Beginning with 'Neukliana' you immediately get a feel for Ricardo's spacey progressive sound. It fits the Stellar Fountain ethos perfectly I think with dreamy atmospheres and lush soundscapes evolving as the track progresses. A jangly arp adds nicely to its sleek flow, ultimately carrying into an epic break. Highly emotional, the centrepiece definitely pulls at your heartstrings before just the kicks drops for that moment of tasteful restraint.
