Established in 2017, the Brazilian label has continued to impress over the last half decade, carefully balancing the line between progressive house and melodic house & techno, while also establishing their For Senses organic imprint which is now flourishing in their second year. With standout projects from Alan Cerra, Forerunners, Maze 28, Noiyse Project, Ric Niels, Tonaco and label boss Gorkiz, 2023 has seen Transensations take a firmer grip on their progressive vision and in turn remain as one of their country's premiere imprints. Now, celebrating their sixth birthday in grand fashion, the label A&Rs have selected eleven exclusive tracks for the latest edition of 'Transenses', featuring (in order of appearance): Indigo Man, Matt Oliver, Benja Molina, Wicked BR, Mariusso, Antonio Farhy, Nicolas Diatto, PASINDU, Shayan Pasha, Allan McLoud and Mariano Giacinti. Getting the release underway is Indigo Man with his latest studio creation 'Unknown Horizons'. The Mexican artist follows releases via Massive Harmony and The Soundgarden with a classically styled progressive cut complete with rolling grooves and incandescent melodies which set the tone for the release. Up and coming Brazilian artist Matt Oliver is next making his label debut with 'Leaky Cauldron'. Already laying claim to releases via Magnitude and Mango Alley, Matt continues to impress with a groove-centric cut that makes great use of tastefully understand melodies. Benja Molina has already established a good resume through releases via Deepwibe Underground, Droid9 and Soundteller. The Spanish artist makes his label debut with selection three 'Erganery', a track which showcases his keen dancefloor vision with muscled grooves, rolling percussion and an ethereal top line to get lost in. Selection four finds Wicked BR who will be a new name to most making his Transensations debut with 'Whisper in the Wind'. The São Paulo resident comes from a Trance background and it shows with a production that includes emotive vocal loops and a tight rolling groove aimed at the dancefloor. Cuiaba resident Douglas Mariusso aka Mariusso is next up following releases for MNL, One Of A Kind and Transensations affiliate For Senses. The Brazilian artist impresses here with 'End of Cycle' which carries a nostalgic mood through retro-grooves and a gorgeous melodic break. Brazil's Antonio Farhy continues the energetic mood of the collection with 'Emotion Days', a sprawling track which operates on a darker more techno inspired monochrome,d as evidenced by it's tougher beats and prophetic effects narrative. The collection's halfway finds Nicolas Diatto not only making his label debut but presenting his first ever released production in 'Itza'. Based in Cordoba, the Argentinean artist makes a statement with a production that finds a nice balance with heavy beats and shimmering top lines. Selection eight heads to the talent rich country of Sri Lanka with PASINDU's 'Nirvana'. Already well known in the progressive house community, PASINDU continues to build on his success with a charged journey that focuses on prophetic arps, dark rhythms and an array of orbiting effects which should make for some memorable moments on the dancefloor. Shayan Pasha has also made a strong name for himself with releases on Droid9, Polyptych and Stripped Digital. Here he makes his Transensations debut with 'Moonstone', a production which comes complete with sci-fi vocal samples, percolating arps and a tough underbelly of driving beats. Switzerland's Allan McLoud is next following releases for Droid9, LuPS Records and John OO Fleming's Joof Aura. The Zürich resident winds the release down nicely with a deeper more atmospheric creation that utilizes nicely timed vocal samples and whimsical motifs to complement a dreamy atmospheric soundscape. Rounding out the release is Mariano Giacinti who also makes his label debut following a string of releases via AH Digital to begin his young career. With his first release coming just six months ago, the Cordoba resident puts a firm progressive stamp on the collection with 'No Strings Attached', a near eight minute journey which stands out because of it's creamy lead theme and mature arrangement. A gorgeous end in to another excellent 'Transenses' installment from Transensations, a release where a fresh amalgamation of artists finds a perfect progressive state of mind. Highly recommended.
