Stellar Fountain opens the month of June by welcoming Sol7 to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Hungary Sol7 has been a DJ for well over two decades, playing and organizing parties across the country while also playing with some of electronic music's premiere talents, most notably Sasha. Having recently emerged as a producer, Sol7 began the year with his most important release to date, a single for Hungarian imprint Truesounds which he co-produced with Daesmith. Now, continuing this upwards momentum, Sol7 debuts on Stellar Fountain with 'Jasmine', alongside remixes from MATIRAMIC and Richard Dominguez.

Title track 'Jasmine' lands with a wealth of lovely organic qualities. From it's dusty drums and haunting vocal wails to misty atmospheres and dulcet chord stabs, there is a lot to like across it's nearly nine minute running time. It might be the main break which resonates most however, with spoken word samples and smooth atmospheric phrasing making for thought provoking moments, and ultimately spearheading a groovy finale. The companion piece 'Jinny' complements it's predecessor well with an array of exotic drums, key changing basslines and meandering melancholic motifs making for a blissed out journey.

Also included are two remixes of title track 'Jasmine', the first of which comes from MATIRAMIC who makes his label debut. The Buenos Aires resident comes off releases for Cigarette Music, Low Pressings and Soundteller, with a smooth effortless rendition which makes great use of the vocal elements and dreamy atmospheric qualities. The break is very well-crafting, building tactfully with a looping hypnotism, before ultimately giving way to a thumping finale which should lift the energy of your dancefloor.

The release concludes with Richard Dominguez returning to the label for the final remix following his 'I Am Letting You Go' single from last year. Based in Patagonia, the Argentinean artist provides a hypnotic version which has a great sense of cruising throughout, and once again makes nice use of those vocal elements, while a tight kick drum and sturdy framework makes it ideal for a deeper dance floor, and also caps off the release on a high note. Highly recommended.
