Releases Monograph – Embrace [Deepwibe Underground] By Release Promo Posted on 28th October 2019 5 min read 0 1 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Monograph return to Deepwibe Underground for their debut EP entitled 'Embrace'. Residing in Russia and Estonia, the duo made their debut on the Russian imprint in July of this year with a remix of Adrian Pricope's 'L'Italy'. It's tight, rhythmic quality was well received and favoured by many of the underground's top tastemakers. Also laying claim to releases on ICONYC, Emotional Content and Droid9 the duo land back on Deepwibe Underground with a two track artist showcase. Leading the release off and sitting comfortably in the creative space between progressive house and techno is the title cut 'Embrace'. Tight beats, booming claps and exotic drums get the journey underway, before buzzing synths and spacey arps fill in the framework. Esoteric overlays are sparsely used to dramatic effect as the main break commences, melting down to tension filled tones before a rush of white noise sparks a powerful drop. The companion piece 'Desintegrated' comes in tougher and more peak time oriented. A driving groove sits at the foundation while waves of fiery drums and gnarly synths steal the air. Subtle modulation ups the tension before a fragmented vocal narrative and wonky arp converge for a mindbending apex. Definitely one for a main room dance floor and a perfect way to cap off a powerful EP from Monograph. Don't miss it.
