Releases Michael A – Solid Remixes (Superordinate Music) By Release Promo Posted on 20th May 2017 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release on Superordinate Music finds the label revisiting Michael A's 'Solid' for a new set of remixes. Originally released in October of 2015 as part of the 'Distance' EP the track went on to great success earning support from Sasha, Robert Babicz, Maceo Plex and countless other international talents. Now we see Superordiante inviting Slam Duck and Soulfinder to reinvent the track for the 2017 summer season. First up Slam Duck returns to the label following a remix of Robert R. Hardy's 'Deytar' released in February of this year. The Russian artist has been turning in stellar efforts of late with exceptional material coming out on Baroque Records, JOOF Recordings and The Purr Music. Here he comes up big again with a great interpretation of 'Solid'. Deep and enchanting from the outset, the framework is adorned with lovely acid lines and heavenly pads, all set against a gorgeous backdrop. A spiralling arp fades into prominence, leading perfectly into the break. Solemn and hopeful, the tracks centrepiece is tasteful with atmospheric overlays and gorgeous detail, which a delicate drop only enhances before the journey home begins. Lovely remix from Slam Duck. The second and final interpretation of 'Solid' is provided by Soulfinder who is making his debut on the label. The Irish artist and Sleepless Nights label boss is fresh off a great remix of MiraculuM's 'Pentaquark' released courtesy of Spring Tube. Now presenting just his second production of the year Soulfinder takes 'Solid' into trippy, hypnotic territory with great results. The atmospheric vibe gets well conveyed but with a bevy of new rhythmic and soncially distinctive ideas. Bleepy stabs, rolling acid and percussive waves make for a groovy and somewhat trippy first act. Breaking down to complete silence, the drama is palpable as the acid slowly begins to churn before a devilishly hypnotic lead drops for a magic moment. It's quite spectacular and the modest build complements it perfectly. Killer remix from Soulfinder and another great remix pack from Superordinate Music. Don't miss it.
