Releases Love Drone – Nova [Soundteller Records] By Release Promo Posted on 11th July 2020 6 min read 0 5 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Love Drone debuts on Deersky's Soundteller Records with 'Nova' alongside remixes from East Cafe and Monojoke. The Italian artist first appeared in 2016 with a wide range of styles, all underpinned with strong melodic concepts. April of last year yielded the well received 'Pleiades' EP via Morphosis Records while May of this year produced the nostalgic sounds of 'Per Aspera / Ad Astra' via She's Super Sound Lab. Now following a remix for Tali Freaks, Love Drone presents the most anticipated single of his career via Soundteller Records. Beginning with the original mix Love Drone works retro rhythms and rolling arps over a foundation of subterranean beats and rippling bass. Hypnotic flow is at a premium here as the piece begins to draw you in with hazy atmospheres and harmonic drifts. Smooth yet powerful, the narrative evolves as the main melody drops, gently rising emotion with each successive loop, before a granular fill resets the groove for a meditative finale. First up on the remixes is East Cafe who returns to the label following remixes for Balkan Connection and Particles. The Hungarian artist ultilizes those tranquil sounds from the original wonderfully and crafts an intro mix where the meditative qualities really come alive. Nearly four minutes of cascading electronics, cosmic effects and broken beats precede the eventual 4/4 drop. Definitely reminiscent of something Sasha would have opened his sets with many moons ago, this is an unforgettable journey that's both emotive and thought provoking. Rounding out the release and returning to the label is Monojoke who is fresh off remixes for 3rd Avenue, Electronic Tree and Symmetric Records. Known for his epic, peak time productions, the Polish artist falls inline with the vibe of the original here and crafts something a touch deeper than his usual fair. That said it's still the biggest version on the release with it's muscular groove, tough percussion and layer upon layer of melodic colour. The break proves to be quite magical with a rippling underbelly setting the foundation for an array of blissful themes, all converging at precisely the right moment for a massive drop and glowing finale. It's been a great year for Monojoke and it continues here with a superb remix that caps off another well put together release for Soundteller Records. Highly recommended.
