K.Oshkin – Cloudy Shadows [Stellar Fountain]

The latest release from Stellar Fountain welcomes K.Oshkin to the label for a brand new single. The Siberian artist appeared on label affiliate Astrowave in October of 2016 with his 'Solo' single accompanied by remixes from Ewan Rill, Robert R. Hardy and Following Light. Now stepping up for his first release on Stellar Fountain K.Oshkin presents his latest single entitled 'Cloudy Shadows' alongside remixes from Ewan Rill and Following Light.

The original mix is a very distinctive, musical and summery slice of deep progressive house. Layers of guitar strums, brassy stabs and wispy vocal elements highlight the journey but it's the sax which totally makes the track. Used very sparingly it adds a wonderful element of soul, bringing out the best of what's around it as well. A lovely piece of music from K.Oshkin.

Two soldiers of the progressive underground supply the remixes in Ewan Rill and Following Light. First up Russia's Ewan Rill uses some of the elements but again as he usually does ends up veering off left of centre into his own sonic space, which here again is quite wonderful. Buzzing bass tones and a killer effects line coming out of the second break deliver the most heat ultimately and it's electric qualities can't be overstated. Great remix from Ewan.

Closing the release out is Following Light who returns to the label for his 14th appearance. The Ukrainian artist and Inmost Records (among others) label boss continues to be one of the most prolific artists out there and he delivers another quality production here. Again using the parts sparingly it's more of a loopy, hypnotic vibe with lovely emotive moments along the way. Definitely one for a late night or early morning dance floor and a great way to round out another great release for Stellar Fountain. Highly Recommended.
