Julian Nates – Our Corner [Balkan Connection]

Julian Nates returns to Balkan Connection for his debut single entitled ‘Our Corner’. The Argentinean artist first appeared on the Serbian imprint two weeks ago with a remix of ‘Crystal Storm’ by Alejandro Conde & Albano Bastonero. Also owning releases on ICONYC and Or Two Strangers, Julian now returns to Balkan Connection for his first single alongside remixes from Analog Jungs and Nicholas Van Orton.

The pure progressive vibes are strong in the original mix and you feel it’s coming from a positive place. Warm bass swells, haunting atmospherics and a gentle arp highlight the first act before stripping down into the main break. The temptation to go bigger here would be hard to resist but Julian maintains it’s serene flow while upping the emotive charm ever so subtly, sealing what amounts to a classy old school cut.

Analog Jungs and Nicholas Van Orton complete this all Argentina release with two excellent remixes. Cordoba residents Analog Jungs have grown dramatically this year and once again deliver a production that sounds tailor made for Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. The tempo shifts up and so to does it’s melodic prowess with a more prominent main theme that reaches euphoria’s top floor. Definitely one to bring the house down at peak time.

The release concludes with scene veteran and BCSA label boss Nicholas Van Orton. The Buenos Aires resident gives ‘Our Corner’ a deeper touch with luminous tones and smooth hypnotic sensibilities. For as tranquil as the arp is a healthy complement of percussion and a swing heavy groove make it more than capable of elevating your dance floor. A stunning creation from one of progressive music’s finest which caps off another must have release from Balkan Connection. Don’t miss it.
