Releases Jelly For The Babies – New Life [Balkan Connection] By Release Promo Posted on 24th June 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Jelly For The Babies returns to his comfortable home of Balkan Connection for a brand new EP entitled ‘New Life’. The Serbian artist and One Of A Kind label boss has had another strong year, highlighted by releases on A Must Have and Submarine Vibes. Now returning to Balkan Connection Jelly For The Babies presents two stunning tracks as part of his ‘New Life’ EP. Beginning with the title track we find Jelly going deep and melodic. The beats are soft yet punchy and full of great character while a rugged low end chugs at the foundation. The lead themes are both trippy and emotive but more so the former as evidenced by a hazy, pixie-like break which pulls back at precisely the right moment for a dubbier second act. The companion piece ‘Second Sun’ features the vocals of Ankit Sharda which take you on a cross cultural journey. There’s more of a proggy drive sitting in this one with a full, fluid bassline anchoring the piece, while neatly tailored percussion adds nicely to it’s cadence. The vocals highlight the break, nicely processed with suitably trippy effects and perfectly set against a melodious theme for maximum emotion. For the less vocally inclined there is also an instrumental included as well which some DJs may gravitate towards. It rounds out a standout EP for Jelly For The Babies who continues to produce some of his best material in 2018. Highly Recommended.
