Gaston Ponte – Myoho | Angels Talking [Auditen Music]

Dynacom's Auditen Music welcomes Gaston Ponte back to the label for a new EP. The Buenos Aires resident has released EP projects for the Argentinean imprint in each of the last two years, beginning with 'Pulse' in June of 2018. Gaston has continued to build momentum in the progressive underground with continued support from the genre's top DJs and 2020 releases for Asymmetric Recordings, Dopamine White and Soundteller Records. Now making a much anticipated return to Auditen, Gaston unveils his 'Myoho | Angels Talking' double a-side showcase.

The smooth sounds of ‘Myoho’ leads the release off and show just how skilled Gaston has become at balancing rhythm, groove and musicality. It’s rolling cadence builds effortlessly across the first act as exotic drums and spacey effects accent the framework. Buzzing chord stabs and indistinct vocals then advance the narrative, building a subtle tension before a tranquil, musically satisfying break seals it's emotive appeal.

The release concludes with ‘Angels Talking’ which comes in a touch more driving and less melodic. Rhythm and flow are at a premium here with catchy tonal themes and buoyant bass stabs combining for a lively groove. Chord changes through the low end do wonders for momentum, while hopeful pads highlight the main break, perfectly setting up a bouncy finale. It rounds out a superb return to Auditen for Gaston who continues to make waves in the progressive music landscape. Highly recommended.
