Releases G Coulter & Guy Gadbois – Plume [Soundteller Records] By Release Promo Posted on 11th October 2020 5 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin G Coulter & Guy Gadbois return to Deersky's Soundteller Records for their debut single 'Plume'. Hailing from the UK and Sweden respectively, the duo first appeared on the Polish imprint in July of this year with a contribution to the popular 'Vibrant Vibeland' series. Also laying claim to releases on nostalgic imprints such as Lost Language and Platipus, G Coulter & Guy Gadbois now follow up an appearance on Droid9 South America with 'Plume' alongside remixes from Martin Andrioli and Silinder. Having already gained already recognition for their melodic take on progressive music, G Coulter & Guy Gadbois further that sentiment with 'Plume'. Anchored by a warm robust groove, the character and shape of the foundation is immediately striking. Clattering percussion and an array of wispy effects fill in the framework nicely, as haunting vocal wails descend over a bubbly arp. The break works these themes beautifully through subtle modulation, before elegantly peaking for a finale of emotive chord changes. Returning to the label following his 'Ambar' EP with Max Blade is Martin Andrioli who provides the first remix. The Argentinean artist goes a touch deeper and more emotive with amazing results. The reworked groove is absolutely stunning, with smooth hypnotic qualities locked inside warm pulses and detailed percussion. A soft atmospheric glow encases the framework across the first movement, acting as the perfect backdrop for a mallet-like theme and timely effects. The main break advances the narrative with the introduction of the vocal, drifting across a foundation of bass pulses and percolating arps, before dropping out into a meditative finale. Rounding out the release and providing his second remix in the last month is Silinder. With a perfect blend of creativity and emotion, the Irish artist deconstructs the main elements into a wondrously deep journey. Reprocessed vocals and hopeful atmospheres marry perfectly with a well contoured groove and rolling percussion, while a plush piano theme seals it's emotional brilliance during a heartfelt break. An exceptional remix from Silinder, capping off a well rounded release for G Coulter, Guy Gadbois and Soundteller Records. Highly recommended.
