Martin Kremser – Zama Zamas [KDB Records] The latest release on KDB Records welcomes Martin Kremser back to the label for a brand new single. The Austrian artist has been a primary contributor to the German imprint since his debut in April of 2015. Now making his ninth appearance Martin presents his latest single entitled 'Zama Zamas' alongside remixes from Dmitry Molosh and Arude. Also owning releases on Diynamic, Einmusika and Making You Dance, Martin's unique take on deep house is already much loved. With 'Zama Zamas' we find more of his quirky, melodic brilliance as spooky stabs and devilish electronics fill out a very groovy framework. Ethereal vocals come at timely, transitional moments while it's timeless top line carries much of tracks emotional resonance. First up on the remixes one of the progressive scenes brightest stars Dmitry Molosh makes his label debut in a big way. Notable releases on Replug Records and Sudbeat Music combined with consistent play and support from respective label owners Cid Inc and Read More
Nanofeel – Mars Remixes [Reelaux Digital] Reelaux Digital is back this week with new remixes of 'Mars' by Nanofeel. Originally released on the label's 'Coming Back to Life' VA collection in May of this year it saw the Hungarian artist crafting an old school gem which earned praise from the progressive house community. Now just over a month later we see the label inviting Traveltech and Chris Drifter to reinvent the track. First up Traveltech takes a more atmospheric approach all while maintaining the same driving energy. Drifting, ethereal and wonderfully open it's definitely a dubbier vibe but not the slightest bit less emotive. The swirling top lines, cascading motifs and rushes of noise all come together for some amazing moments, while a well constructed break adds just the right amount of tension for the dance floor. Veteran Chris Drifter closes the release out with a decidedly more stripped back interpretation which proves to be a great complement to both the original and Traveltech's remix. Tough and immacu Read More
Nikko.Z – Movement [Movement Recordings] The latest release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Nikko.Z back to the label for a brand new EP. The Greek artist last appeared on the Greek imprint in October of 2016 with a contribution to the label's 'ADE Sampler'. In addition to releasing on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music Nikko also heads up the excellent Dopamine Music imprint. He continues to be one of his country’s top electronic music talents and now he returns to one of his original homes with a brand new EP appropriately entitled 'Movement'. Nikko has blurred the lines between progressive house, techno and deep house for many years and this unique fusion of styles has found favour with both Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo. 'Movement' comes in quite techno inspired with a dark, deliberate and driving groove. Hypnotic motifs, firing percussion and distinctive acid hooks converge for a deadly rhythmic core, leading nicely into a stripped down second act. Void of any major break, the tension runs on a cascading Read More
Sohrab G – Evening Glow [Soundteller Records] Sohrab G makes a much welcome return to Deersky's Soundteller Records this week with a brand new single entitled 'Evening Glow'. Hailing from Tehran, I first heard about Sohrab with a release on Madloch's 3rd Avenue imprint. Although little known at time there was a special feeling in the productions and now less than a year later he returns to Soundteller for a follow-up to his well received 'Take Me With You' EP. That progressive minded magic which was evident on Sohrab's Soundteller debut comes back in a big way on 'Evening Glow'. Clocking in at 120 BPM it's a deep and emotive delight with ethereal electronics and glassy harmonics leading the way. The panning vocals are an especially nice touch and make the break quite trippy while still emanating positive emotions. Two fine remixes also appear here with Soundteller regular Marcelo Paladini being the first. Listening to the original I can definitely see the thought process behind having the Argentine on board. He's gr Read More
Mila Dietrich & Malecka – Imagine The World [MNL] A quick turnaround for Paul Hazendonk's MNL imprint showcases a brand new single from Mila Dietrich and Malecka. The Manual Music subsidiary has been busy as the summer season approaches. Madloch's excellent 'Prologue' EP was released just last week and is currently sitting in the Beatport Top 25. Now we see a pairing of French artists Mila Dietrich and Malecka for the label's latest offering entitled 'Imagine The World' alongside a remix from Robert Mason. There's something quite timeless about this and that was my initial attraction to it when I first received the promo. Joyous and positive with its tasteful arps and glowing chimes, all getting topped off with a vocal narrative which really hits home during the main break. The distinctive qualities of the vocal are really exceptional and are sure to resonant on various levels, uniquely processed as well and I expect they might stick with you for a long while. A unique and timeless piece of music from Mila Dietrich and Mal Read More
Michael A – Only Time Remains [Genesis Music] Genesis Music returns this week with a brand new EP from label boss Michael A. The Belarus based artist and Hernan Cattaneo fave is fresh off a release on Sudbeat Music and continues to dominate the progressive underground with his groovy, dance floor minded productions. Now returning to his home label Michael presents his latest two track offering entitled 'Only Time Remains'. The lead cut dazzles in both the design and storytelling departments. From its buzzing stabs, delicate arps and ethereal top line synths it really is a feast for the pure progressive house fan. Michael's trademark cadence is evident as well with a sturdy groove which swings and flows with an effortless ease. T he companion piece could hardly be considered a b-side at all as it's quite a colossal production. This might some of Michael's most radical design work yet with some gnarly electronics leading the charge, making for a highly dramatic break and deadly finale. It's the subtle nuances which Read More

And there’s the clue to the success of Bedrock - we do it because we love it!” – Nick Muir Read More

Alex Vidal – Electric Night [Stellar Fountain] The latest release from Stellar Fountain welcomes Alex Vidal back to the label for a brand new single entitled 'Electric Night'. The Spanish artist is fresh off two remixes for Mellophonic and now returns to the Hungarian imprint for his 14th appearance alongside remixes from Loquai, Mark Found and Espen. Aptly coined, 'Electric Night' is full of energetic lines, dark motifs and a hazy harmonic resonance. It's shuffly groove and distinctive stabs create an impact straight away before spiralling arps and a vocal hit add some lovely colour, eventually opening up into moments of melodic beauty. The break packs some serious punch with a barrage of effects creating a wall of sound before dropping out into a massive third act finale. It's not hard to see why labels like Bonzai have taken a liking to Alex's productions, their old school charm and crisp production is quite nice and definitely worthy of great dance floor moments. The three remixers have all done a nice job as well Read More
Lemon8 – Sorcerer [Welcome Music] Welcome Music returns this week with a brand new single from legendary progressive house artist Lemon8. Apart from a slew of Basic Beat reissues we last heard from the Dutch producer in 2012 with a remix courtesy of LuPS Records. Responsible for many timeless classic's including 'Model 8' and 'New York, New York' it has been far too long with no new music from Lemon8. This release is certainly a pleasant surprise and the team at Welcome Music have assembled a great remixer cast including Moshic, Matter and Anton Make. I do wonder what Harry (Lemon8) has been doing all these years away but one thing's for certain he hasn't lost his great affinity for creating wicked progressive house. There was always a techy edge about his productions and 'Sorcerer' has it as well. Beginning with warm, fluid bass swells and a deadly complement of drums the energy builds quickly. Flashes of melody, vocal pads and mallet-like motifs make for a glowing, vibrant and summery second act, one which Read More
