Music has many dimensions. MONO.NOISE's new 'Ikhonco' EP shows four different of them. The leading track 'Ikhonco' is produced by French DJ and musician EMORINE who presently lives in Berlin. It comes with a dark, vibrant and slightly mysterious energy that reveals the side of Deep House working perfectly into the club. EMORINE chose the name 'Ikhonco' cause it means 'hyphen' - the little but powerful element that connects two words to one and creates a new meaning - as 'the period I created the title was a transition period for me', he says. There are two remix versions of 'Ikhonco' on the EP: One is done by BAAL * and comes rather minimal with a wafting energy that reminds of misty landscapes in the dawn. PlattenBank Records hits release number 63 with the help of Dale Middleton. He serves up two chunky tracks of effective house music that proves why he is one of the hottest names in the game right now. Middleton has played all over Argentina, India and Europe, has had his tunes played by Pete Tong on his Essential Selections on BBC Radio 1 and counts the likes of Agoria and Sasha & Digweed as fans. He has played at Bedrock parties and releases on labels like Sex on Wax and Flow Vinyl, impressing once more here. The first cut is a spiritual and cosmic number that has many lush layers of synths filled with sci-fi colour up top. The drums are warm and rubbery and the whole thing encourages you to lose yourself in the melodies and look up to the starry night sky. Night Stories is next and is a darker track, but again is a cavernous construction with drums down low and lots of skyward synths up top. It’s epic in nature and expertly produced to really cast a spell on the dance f
