The Argentinean artist has continued his 2018 journey with a recent single (in cooperation with Some Little Things) on DJ Zombi’s Beat Boutique. Now returning to his own Or Two Strangers imprint, Antrim presents the most anticipated project of his career in ‘Rise The Time’. Spread across three tracks it’s the showcase piece ‘Rise The Time’ which leads the EP off. A buzzing, astral intro immediately sets an incredible atmosphere as meaty bass stabs and symphonic themes begin to form. It’s rippling groove carries a laid-back cadence, cavernous yet airy, it provides the perfect foundation as charming melodies and hazy harmonic concepts cross pollinate, eventually reaching a purring finale. ‘Join Each Other’ continues to explore the deep and warm themes of its predecessor. A DJ friendly intro sets your emotive centres on high as radiant themes begin building. Beautiful and haunting in equal measure, it's a spiritual eight minute minute journey, showcasing delicate themes yet pulsating with anticipation, delivering a fluid cadence and chromatic warmth throughout. The collection is rounded out with the most progressive minded of the three ‘Rain Of Love’. A slight shift in tempo and cadence ups the energetic flow of the EP while still retaining it’s elegant narrative. On a backbone of rolling bass comes indistinct motifs, soft synth swells and evolving percussive arrangements. It's subtle shades and tones combined with a fluid framework and timely chord changes create a reflective vibe which rounds out what is Antrim’s most emotionally satisfying artist EP to date.
