Released in November of this year, the first edition showcased the always impressive Estroe with two stunning creations that earned favour from Agoria, Ame, Danny Tenaglia, Maceo Plex and Sasha. Now Lessismore label boss Alexis Tyrel delivers the much anticipated second volume of the series to cap off a successful year. Beginning with 'Organic Pattern' the Dutch artist delves into the cross pollination of progressive house and techno. Although firmly rooted in the latter it's a piece which evolves with stunning precision and redolent storyboarding. On a bed of tough, corky beats comes tranquil lines and detailed percussion. Effortless in flow, acid-like motifs gradually open up, adding a vibrant colour to the framework as it's pulsating energy continues to grow. Rife with timeless qualities it builds to an effervescent sizzle across a tense yet emotive third act finale. The companion piece 'Kim Kardashian' recalls one of Alexis' most significant career creations in 'Rebecca Loos'. The dreamy slice of melodic minimalism earned favour with a broad spectrum of electronic music tastemakers and 'Kim Kardashian' looks set for a similar fate. Once again built around a compelling vocal narrative and meditative melodies, it's a production you quickly get lost it. Percussive flurries and timely modulation combined with just the right vocal placements make for a soothing yet dance floor friendly journey. For the less vocally inclined Alexis has also provided a 'Vocal Less' version which carries the same rhythmic cadence and melodic disposition as the original. it rounds out what is a stunning EP from the Dutch artist who appears to be hitting his stride as 2019 approaches.
