Michael A – Reprise [Specific Music]

Michael A returns to Yegor Tsarkov’s Specific Music with a brand new EP entitled ‘Reprise’. The Belarus based artist and Genesis Music boss is fresh off a release on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music. Recorded in collaboration with Montreal’s Simply City the two track offering was well received and enjoyed considerable Beatport success as well. Now Michael returns to Specific Music for his eighth appearance with a brand new two track EP.

Michael’s explored a lot of different styles of deep and progressive house over the course of his career but he seems to be at his best writing peak time bombs and that’s exactly what ‘Reprise’ is. Full of boundless energy and anthemic qualities it’s a sweeping, melodic masterpiece with just enough edge to keep you wondering what’s coming next.

The companion piece ‘Close to Home’ is also bound for some memorable dance floors moments. Tough, driving and with an ominous, cross-cultural feel, it’s both trippy and exhilarating. A nice flurry during the second half of the break sees the intensity rise as a rush of drums sets in motion a groovy finale. Two more top productions from Michael who has really been at the top of his game this year. Another great signing for Yegor Tsarkov’s Specific Music. Highly Recommended.
