Presenting their fifth release, Polyptych Underground welcomes Andrewboy to the label for his debut single. With a career that spans the better part of two decades, the Hungarian artist has achieved measurable success along the way. As a long standing DJ in his country, Andrewboy has shared the stage with top international talents Hernan Cattaneo and Dave Seaman, while also winning the Pepsi Starmaker DJ competition and placing second in the DMC World Championships. As a producer he has enjoyed similar accolades, showcasing his music via Miss Monique's Siona Records, Area Verde, ICONYC Noir and UV Noir. Now adding Polyptych Underground to his resume, Andrewboy debuts on the label with 'Let You Go' alongside a remix from High On Mars.

Finding a comfortable space between progressive house and melodic techno, 'Let You Go' lands as one of Andrewboy's biggest productions to date. Taking straight aim at the dance floor are dark, muscular grooves, devilish effects and astral flavored arps. Female vocal fragments open up the framework, adding depth and emotion leading into the main break. Continuing to evolve across the centrepiece, the vocal expands, exuding a ghostly quality as warm bass swells and metallic arps unite for an exhilarating crescendo, thumping drop and emotive finale.

The release concludes with High On Mars making their label debut and providing the lone interpretation of 'Let You Go'. Made up of Iranian producers Mahmoud Balouch and Amir Yaleh, High On Mars first came to our attention in 2019 with a string of releases on Ivan Nikusev's OLD SQL Recordings, before eventually going on to land projects via Freegrant Music, Siona Records and Univack. Having remixed Andrewboy once previously for UV Noir, High On Mars now reworks the Hungarian artist again for their Polyptych Underground debut. Following a similar sonic ethos to the original, the Iranian duo rework the groove into something fuller and even more menacing. Sweeping effects and driving percussion make for an exhilarating first act, setting up the second half of the track which makes great use of two breakdowns. The first melts down to a tension filled calm, resetting the groove and introducing a crispy arp; while the second draws more emotion out of the track through tasteful modulation and classic chord changes, perfectly shifting energy into a effects laden finale. Massive stuff from High On Mars which makes for a great Polypytch Underground debut for both themselves and Andrewboy. Highly recommended.
