ALURIA – Life Loop [Incepto Music]

ALURIA returns to Incepto Music with a new single alongside remixes from Micheal A and Meeting Molly. Juan Correa Lopez aka ALURIA hails from Buenos Aires and last appeared on the Russian imprint in September of 2017 with 'Dreams'. Also laying claim to releases on Massive Harmony Records and Superordinate Music, ALURIA now returns to Incepto with 'Life Loop'.

The original mix leads the release off with a smooth, pure progressive sensibility. Warm, groovy and full of gorgeous design qualities it's a ten minute plus journey that you're going to want to enjoy several times over. The vocal elements are quite amazing, ethereal and emotive in equal measure they add tremendous depth to what is an already super charged groove. The main break sits at the core and remains relatively tense throughout, as effects fire and bass swells rumble, before eventually getting washed away into a tasteful drop. It's here where the groove breathes again and you're launched into a cosmic finale for the ages. Wonderful stuff from ALURIA.

Progressive house savant and Genesis Music boss Michael A is first up on the remixes and he delivers more outstanding work. The groove and overall vibe gets streamlined into a more modern dance floor affair. Backed by a robust foundation it's momentum and cadence are both fluid and powerful. Spacey arps and vocal fragments soon dominate the storyboard and you're then lost in a wave of sound and colour. There's a hint of nostalgia in this and it no doubt resonates from the vocal, almost like something from progressive music's golden era but with a modern twist that's going to work wonders on a dance floor. Amazing remix from Michael and already a favourite of Guy J who featured the track in his 'Touched By Sun' mix from May.

The release concludes with Meeting Molly returning to the label following an EP for Songspire Records and a remix for Soundteller. Known for his deeper approach the Russian artist slows the tempo a touch for a mix that complements it's predecessors quite nicely. Bulbous beats and a warm, rolling groove sit at the foundation while organic drums and quirky synth hooks power what is a feel good storyboard. An excellent remix from Meeting Molly, capping off what is superb release for Incepto Music, perhaps their best of the year thus far. Highly recommended.
