Volen Sentir – The Great Escape / Elemental [Lost & Found]

Volen Sentir makes their much anticipated Lost & Found debut with 'The Great Escape / Elemental'. The Russian duo arrived on the organic house underground in September of 2017 with a release on Shanti Radio Moscow. The Russian imprint would become their primary home having released two follow-up EPs and a remix over the next two years. Subsequent projects for Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream further established the duo amongst the genre's elite, ultimately leading to their debut on Guy J's flagship imprint.

Volen Sentir are much loved for their exploration of all things deep and musical. These two creative minds come together once again with two stunning pieces of music beginning with 'The Great Escape'. Coming in at a smooth, laid back tempo, it’s a deep and incredibly charming nine minute journey. Soulful motifs and wispy atmospheres adorn was is a sultry, irresistible groove; while exotic percussion and jangly melodic concepts provide the perfect prelude to a final act of indistinct vocals and heartfelt sonics.

The companion piece ‘Elemental’ sits as an ideal complement to it's predecessor with more of a percussive, dubby approach. From DJ friendly beginnings comes rolling bass tones and tight rhythmic concepts. As the narrative evolves so too does its emotive appeal, with hopeful pads eventually descending over the framework, before a vibrant tonal theme provides a bridge into an energetic yet reflective finale. It caps off a hugely successful project from one of the organic house scene’s freshest duo's and further solidifies them amongst the genre's most sought after talents. Another great signing for Guy J's Lost & Found that's not to be missed.
