MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music presents the twenty-third edition of their SIX: Stage-X compilation series. Established five years ago, the beloved various artists showcase continues to search the globe for the freshest new talent that the electronic underground has to offer, featuring a cohesive blend of progressive and melodic techno styles. SIX: Stage-23 continues that ethos and lands in impressive fashion with exclusive new music from: Erich LH, Juani Ramirez, Ivan Pogrebniak, Ormus, John Joshua, Uberphat and Baudoin. Returning to the label for selection one is Argentinian Erich LH. Having appeared on SIX: Stage-18 last year, the now France-based artist follows strong projects for Droid9 and Starlight Music Group with his SLC-6 return 'Singularity', a track backed by strong progressive grooves and trance-inspired melodies. Label debutant Juani Ramirez is next with his latest studio creation 'Oblivion'. Although early in his career, the Argentinean artist has already become known for his cohesive blend of progressive house and melodic techno. 'Oblivion' finds that balance once again, taking square aim at a peak-hour dancefloor with rugged rhythms, hook heavy chord stabs and an energetic pulse to take the vibe of any set a few notches higher. Selection three finds Serbian artist Ivan Pogrebniak making his label debut with 'Drops'. Known for his classic progressive sound and releases via Balkan Connection's BC2 and Bonzai Records, Ivan's 'Drops' excels through the use of galloping basslines, flickering arps and an array of orbiting effects. The collection's halfway point is marked by the label debut of Ormus. Hailing from Spain, Alberto García aka Ormus has been in the electronic music industry for the better part of three decades. JOOF Recordings and RPO have been primary landing spots for his amalgamation of progressive house, techno and trance, with his SLC-6 debut 'Ruaj' following suit nicely. High octane kick drums and jet force propulsions serve as the foundation for an array of sweeping effects, flickering arps, and cosmic meanderings that are sure to light up your dancefloor. The collection's lone collaboration finds John Joshua and Uberphat returning to the label following their appearance on SIX: Stage-18 last year. The American duo's latest joint production 'Fair Trade' proves to be one of their most creative to date, featuring a strong narrative of metallic motifs and ghosting vocal fragments for those darker dancefloor moments. Rounding out the release and also making his label debut is Baudoin. The Buenos Aires resident puts a resounding stamp on the collection with 'Cataclysm', a slow-burning groover complete with spacious basslines, prophetic sound design, and a tension-filled break which is sure to capture the attention of listeners and dancefloors around the world.
