These Various Artists EPs will take a look back over the label's catalog, presenting new interpretations from some of the freshest talent in the underground. In what promises to be a highlight in the Belgian imprints release schedule, the first installment finds Stereoclip, Bigasti & DkA, Beije and Felix Cage re-interpreting tracks from Dim Kelly, Miyagi, Felix Cage and Bigasti & Beije respectively. Leading the release off and making his label debut is Stereoclip. The Belgian artist has found a home on Armada's Electronic Elements, Atmosphere Records and Positiva, where his unique take on melodic house has flourished. Now presenting his first remix project of the year, the Braine resident re-models Dim Kelly's 'Cha' with great success. Full, warm and undeniably inviting; it's smooth low end, airy effects and neatly manicured percussion provide the framework for moments of effervescent phrasing. Unpredictable and free flowing, the main break highlights the piece with a wealth of blissful concepts, before effortlessly shifting energy into a groovy finale. Also sitting at the heart of Belgium's electronic underground are Bigasti and DkA. Together the duo lay claim to a collective discography highlighted by releases on Balance Music, Crosstown Rebels, Exit Strategy, Sound Avenue and Tale & Tone. Also calling Nugget Music home, the duo now returns to the label with a remix of Miyagi's 'Paralyzed' for their first ever joint production. Operating at their creative peak, Bigasti and DkA take a cue from the original while bending the narrative further into astral territory. It's charged rhythms, squelchy stabs and cosmic arps unite in a perfect sonic marriage, while a dramatic break fully saturates your senses before melting down into a tasteful drop and acid fuelled finale. Having first appeared in January of 2019, Beije has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the organic house underground. In just over a year the Canadian duo have found a home on Manual Music, Sound Avenue and Where The Heart Is. Their fresh take on dreamy house has propelled them into one of the genre's top up and coming acts. Now making a welcome return to Nugget Music the duo provides a stunning rendition of 'Mon Automne' by Felix Cage. Backed by a framework of warm beats and buzzing rhythms comes spaced out effects and hopeful atmospheres. Melodic fragments and free flowing harmonics shift the narrative into emotive territory across the main break, ultimately setting up a cosmic yet heartfelt final movement. Rounding out the release and returning to the label for his third appearance is Felix Cage. The Paris-born, Moscow-raised and now Brussels-based artist first appeared on the Belgian imprint in June of 2019 with a contribution to the label's 'Treasure #1' collection, while December of the same year yielded the 'Mon Automne' EP. Also finding a home on Katermukke, Mobilee Records and Parquet Recordings, Felix now lands back on Nugget Music with an inspired take on 'Eleuthera' by Bigasti & Beije. Dulcet beats and waves of rippling bass anchor the piece, while spaced out sonics and a shifting musical theme build expertly into a symphonic sunrise; spiritually fulfilling and perfectly dialled for a broad range of dance floors. Groovy and emotive in equal measure it caps off a stunning first edition of Nugget Music's 'Alteration' series that's not to be missed.
