DJ Vazik continues developing his Vapour moniker via DJ Zombi's Beat Boutique. The Mexican artist and Sounds of Earth label boss has been a fixture of his country's electronic underground for the better part of two decades. Awarded Mexico's 'DJ of the Year' in 2011, Vazik has also brought his impressive programming skills around the world and notched releases on Asymmetric Recordings, Flow Records and ICONYC. Now Vazik debuts his Vapour alias on Beat Boutique with 'Nzambe Yimbu' alongside a remix from Shai T & DJ Zombi.

Organic yet tense, it's the original mix which gets the release underway. Clocking in at a laid back 115 BPM, there's a unique amalgamation of sounds happening here. From exotic drums, to soulful instrumentation and heavily reprocessed vocals, the first act is immediately captivating. Moody and meandering at points, it's the ultimate vibe and groove setter, with a well crafted break to perfectly build energy and tension across the final act.

Rounding out the release is the lone interpretation from Shai T & DJ Zombi. The Israel duo draw on the sensibilities of the original while upping the drive and tempo. Even though it's much more geared to the dance floor, Shai & Zombi have managed to not only retain the musicality but expand on it in a way. Clustered pianos and blissful atmospheres blanket the percussion groove, flowing through sentimental moments during a stripped down second act, before eventually giving way to a tasteful drop and blissful finale. An amazing remix from Shai & Zombi which makes for a well rounded offering from Beat Boutique once again. Don't miss it.
