Musique de Lune opens the month of April by welcoming Tom Banner back to the label for his first single. Hailing from the UK but now calling Spain home, Tom Banner has achieved measurable success in relatively short order. Emerging via a 2023 debut on Mango Alley affiliate Maldesoule, the Barcelona resident would go on to record projects for Cafe De Anatolia LAB and Kognitiv Records across the next calendar year, firmly establishing himself as a producer to watch. 2024 would also mark Tom's Musique de Lune debut, with a well-received remix of 'What Were the Skies Like When You Were Young' by Irish producer Sturge. Now, getting his 2025 off to an auspicious start, Tom returns to the label for his first original project 'It's You', alongside remixes from Dowden, The Wash, Alley SA and George Yammine.

Full of detail and idiosyncrasies, 'It's You' is a glowing voyage where Tom explores a storyboard of deeper grooves, exotic percussive arrangements, poignant pianos and meandering vocal coactions, which add a unique sense of soul to the journey. Evoking emotion through slow burn repetition and tasteful restraint throughout, it's an apt example that you don't need a sledgehammer to crack open an egg.

Leading a wide assortment of remixes is Dowden who has already made a huge impact in 2025 with enormous productions for Dreaming Awake and Nightcolours. We get to hear a different side of the Canadian artist here as he provides more of an organic take on the track, one which stays true to the original themes, while adding a greater sense of atmosphere and emotion which should fair well on all the Spring dancefloors.

Label debutant The Wash is up next following a strong remix of Left 2 Dust for MelodicLab Records to begin the year. The Austrian artist sticks to his progressive roots and delivers a version which complements it's predecessors very well. Upbeat, energetic and bursting with positive vibes, this is very much in the timeless style that you would hear Sasha or Digweed championing at any point in their careers. An excellent remix for a broad range of DJs.

South Africa's Alley SA has more than made his mark on the organic house scene. Releases for Anoka, Nordic Voyage, Songuara and The Purr, amongst others highlight his near 150 credit four year discography. Always a creative remixer, the Cape Town resident delivers a deeper, percussive and more delicate version of 'It's You', one which deconstructs the vocals just a touch and relies on balmy synth swells and a nature-centric backdrop to carry an uplifting finale.

Rounding out the release is George Yammine who arrives to Musique de Lune on the strength of projects for Plattenbank and Sudbeat. Known for his sophisticated yet warm approach to production, the Danish artist caps the release off with a sleek progressive rendition that relies on a cruising, meditative approach to build rhythm and emotion, before a cinematic sounding break further realizes it's otherworldly qualities for a heartfelt hypnotic finale to round out the release. A classy sounding project from Tom Banner and Musique de Lune, who use a wide assortment of remixes to cover various dancefloors to great effect. Highly recommended.
