D.J. MacIntyre’s SLC-6 Music opens the spring season by presenting new interpretations of ‘Dizziness’ by Servando & Gaspar Aguilera. Originally released as part of the label’s ‘SIX: Stage-19’ collection from February of last year, ‘Dizziness’ found the Argentinean duo crafting a smooth progressive journey complete with aquatic themes, gated vocals and a sturdy groove that was perfect for mid-set play. Still holding a spot in the duo’s Beatport Top 10 best sellers more than a year after its release, SLC-6 Music now invites Rebus Project and B.I.R.DD to re-imagine the track for spring 2025.
Hailing from Estonia but now calling Scotland home, Viktor Pekisev aka Rebus Project returns to the label following a contribution to the ‘SIX: Stage-22’ collection from last year. Always a creative remixer, the Glasgow resident adds considerable funk to the groove, while a top line of delicate arps, wispy vocal drifts and airy effects make for a perfect summery vibe. The release concludes with B.I.R.DD providing the second and final interpretation following a contribution to Musique de Lune’s ‘Rayons De Lune II’ collection to close out 2024. Now making his SLC-6 debut, the up and coming Argentine puts deeper spin on ‘Dizziness’, one where tough chunky grooves, emotive chord stabs and vibrant percussion converge for a perfect marriage to keep any dancefloor moving.
