Based in Bangalore, the Indian artist made his debut on the Greek imprint in April of 2021 with the well received 'Bolivian Diary' EP. The two-track showcase proved to be a highlight in Sajith's discography with both selections shooting to the top of his Beatport Best Sellers chart. The year would bring further successes for the Bangalore resident, with an Eat My Hat follow-up landing in July along with projects for Droid9 and Soundteller Records. Now following an EP for Balkan Connection to begin 2022, Sajith returns to Eat My Hat with the much anticipated 'Light Years'. As Sajith continues to rise in the world of progressive music, it is the deep hypnotic sounds of 'Light Years' which set the course for his Eat My Hat return. Played out over seven meditative minutes, a storyboard of fuzzed out stabs and blustery effects gets intertwined with chunky bass tones and dusty percussive arrangements. Sitting at the heart of the journey, a spirited interlude brings further drama, as arpeggiated sequences emerge and percolate, before eventually melting down into an emotive, key changing finale. The companion piece 'Atheist and The Priest' is bursting with ultrasonic qualities, as Sajith expertly marries low-slung stabs and timely effects with effervescent percussion and cross-cultural vocal pads. Mysterious and energetic in equal measure, the first act flows through emotive chord changes, perfectly setting the stage for a memorable break. Complete with percolating arps and gorgeous vocal phrasing, the interlude builds with a veteran's savvy, setting the stage for a thumping drop and goosebump worthy finale. A gorgeous production from Sajith who makes his third project for Ziger's Eat My Hat Music a most memorable one.
