Saintbull & GUUSE – Looking for the Rain [Musique de Lune Noire]

Presenting their first ever collaboration, Saintbull and Guuse debut on Musique de Lune's Noire division with 'Looking For The Rain'. Based in Spain and Argentina respectively, both Saintbull and Guuse have made their mark on the electronic underground. Although early in their careers the duo's combined discography is already highlighted by releases via Almar, Freegrant Music, Polyptych, trndmsk and WAYU Records. With a sound that incorporates elements of organic and melodic house, Saintbull and Guuse continue on that explorative path with their Musique de Lune Noire debut 'Looking For The Rain', alongside a remix from Sanio & Zarth.

‘Looking for the Rain’ finds the duo with a strong creative synergy as they craft a deep melodic cut that’s perfectly styled for the dancefloor. Rhythmically charged, its smooth pulsating cadence, hopeful pads and mesmerizing percussion set the piece on a course for aural enlightenment. As the first act begins to cruise, it's a soulful vocal and fragmented melodies which take centrestage, emerging as striking stabs steal the air and effects orbit, perfectly setting up a glowing break, epic build and dynamic stripped back drop which an astute dancefloor will certainly appreciate.

The release concludes with Sanio & Zarth also making their label debut with the lone interpretation of 'Looking for the Rain'. Currently based in Germany and Portugal respectively, Sanio & Zarth first emerged in 2017 with an EP via Antura Records. Quickly recognized for their genuine melodic sound, the duo would choose their projects carefully across the next five years, landing key releases via BluFin, Living Like Birds and Plano B Records, the latter of which has been their primary home. Now, adding Musique de Lune Noire to their resume, Sanio & Zarth dial in a deep and engaging take on 'Looking for the Rain'. Smooth and groovy across the first movement, the duo continue their stylized ways with nicely contoured basslines, precise percussive arrangements and perfectly placed vocal phrasing, all cleverly co-axed to create a path into the main break. Sitting comfortably in a poignant yet thought provoking space, the centrepiece captivates with wispy effects and drifting vocal fragments uniting for a colourful canopy, as the beats drop for a finale of elastic-like stabs and haunting harmonics. A stunning remix (with a dub version included as well) from Sanio & Zarth, which rounds out an impressive label debut for Saintbull & GUUSE, an artist duo who continues to impress and rise in the world of progressive and melodic house.
