Releases Roberto Traista – Big Nasty [Skanda Records] By Release Promo Posted on 18th December 2021 4 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Skanda Records caps off a promising first year by welcoming Roberto Traista to the label for his debut single. The Hungarian artist has been a fixture of the progressive music scene for well over a decade. The Budapest resident lays claim to a tidy resume highlighted by releases on Golden Wings Music, ICONYC, Stellar Fountain and Zephyr Music. Regarded for his pristine production and arcane motifs, Roberto now lands on fast rising Zephyr Music offshoot Skanda Records with the much anticipated 'Big Nasty'. Following on from his ’Come to an End' EP, Roberto continues to amaze with the big room sensibility of 'Big Nasty'. Following a tense DJ friendly intro, the Hungarian artist unleashes muscular beats, pulsating rhythms and astral sonics across a devilish first act. Dark and mysterious heading into the main break, it’s a series of percussive flurries and emerging tonal tension which advances the narrative, before the cavernous centrepiece shifts the scope further into prophetic territory. Dramatic and meditative in equal measure, the interlude delights with its calculated, interplanetary build, eventually giving way to the thunderous groove for an epic finale. Definitely one for a peak time dance floor, it caps off what has been a great first year for Skanda Records, who across three releases have showed depth and variety in their choices, setting up what should be a great 2022 so make sure you're following along.
