Redspace made his debut on our imprint through his contribution to our 2nd edition of the 'Fables' compilation with his single "Communication". The Russian artist's extensive discography showcases his undeniable strength in music production, having been featured on labels such as Miss Monique's 'Area Verde', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' and MoodFreak & Mike Koglin's 'YOMO', to name a few. Apart from his solo works, he's had phenomenal results through collaborations with artists across the world. He now teams up with Shell Robinson, a veteran progressive artist based in San Jose, California (USA). A classically trained pianist who found her way into house music, her journey began in 2000, drawing inspiration from industry legends. Amidst hardships, Shell Robinson always found solace in the music and continued to evolve her style, embracing the progressive sound through the years. Now entering the production space, her first two collaborative releases with Redspace landed up on Gav Easby's 'inU' and Paul Thomas' 'UV Noir', respectively, with a solo EP slated to be released in the near future. Together, Redspace & Shell Robinson's latest offering "Reflections" represents a beautifully composed yet club-effective amalgamation of their styles. To celebrate the release of 'Reflections', Redspace & Shell have curated ten tracks which inspired the production. Enjoy! Redspace reflects on 5 tracks that inspired 'Reflections' Will DeKeizer - Emerald I heard this track on the set of Guy J B2B Guy Mantzur. It was still unreleased at the time and it looked very driving. As a result, I played this track at almost every party for a year and it always worked great. Roger Martinez - Downriver A track that I heard recently, although it is already old, I like the mood in the track and it is great for waking up and smiling at life. Mike Isai - Exit Cool dark stuff, played it many times at parties too and it creates a great atmosphere and is great for mixing with other tracks. Anthony Pappa, Jamie Stevens - Here We Go There's nothing to say about these guys, legends who make groove progressive and this one is as legendary. I study each track of theirs with special attention. Jamie Stevens - Storm Front (Mike Rish Remix) Mike Rish is also one of my favorites and almost every track of his fits into my sets. It would be easy to put 10 of his tracks on this chart and it would look cool. Shell Robinson reflects on 5 tracks that inspired 'Reflections' Ismail M & Redspace - Amalgam This track introduced me to Redspace's unique style and blew me away with its haunting vibe and deep basslines. The way he crafted those intricate drums and dark melodies showed me exactly the kind of sound I wanted to create. Radiuex & Redspace - Quasars A more energetic progressive track that really shows off Redspace's production skills. The way he builds layers and creates intense moments while keeping everything musical made me certain I wanted to work with him. NAASA & Cafe de Anatolia - Colors (Dub Mix) When I first heard this track in a dark room, I was hooked by how it blends deep house with progressive elements. The haunting melodies and atmosphere were exactly what I wanted to capture in "Reflections." Kamilo Sanclemete - Elixir (GMJ Remix) Even though it's from 2023, this track nails that dark progressive sound I love. The huge room-filling sound and deep, driving energy really influenced what I wanted to achieve in our collaboration. Miraculum - Constellation (Erich Von Kollar Remix) This remix perfectly combines deep house with darker progressive elements. The production quality is incredible, and it showed me how these styles could work together in the way I was imagining. 'Reflections' is available now via Juicebox Music: https://tinyurl.com/37uuab2a
